Right now I am just going to do as I am told and let them handle the stuff I am not allowed to do anymore. See how much longer it takes them and what doesn't get done. Let them see I am not the issue.

Realistically, I just don't think some people want others there, was more my point. And will constantly bend and morph rules to try and make you miserable.

Del,
Well, she was whiny in general, too. I was too small to pick up a german shepherd safely and refused, suddenly it was passed off as "refusing work."

Amongst other things.

One time she snapped at me for "snarking" at her when I said, in a polite tone, "alright, I understand" to something she explained.

Versa,

Thats such an odd reason to fire someone lol

If thats truly how it is there, then I would start looking for a new position. Working in an environment where you have to constantly second guess yourself is stressful. Not good for the mental :)

My prior internship I got "fired" from. Why? An older lady who was overseeing me and all of my daily activities dropped a can of treats on the floor. She looked really in pain when she bent over to pick them up, so I offered to help.

She looked like I just screamed an insult at her...

But like I said there is always two workers and we do it all together. The main person I work with and do everything with is the Manager, which is the owners second in command

Sometimes people will explain how to do something one way but actually complete the task another. We dont always completely verbalize our process. There might be some unspoken rules that are at play here that you can only see if you shadow the task. Im sure this is frustrating.

Yep. That is one of the main reasons I left my last job. I worked there for almost 6 years and did everything the same way all those years which is the way I was taught and told by the owner. Then suddenly everything I was doing was wrong.

I would ask to shadow the owner or a coworker again for those tasks. Maybe a step in the task is escaping you and you don’t even realize it.

Well, the owner can't have it both ways. They can't train their employees one way, and do the same thing a different way. It's just gonna confuse, and piss off said workers. They get paid to do what they're trained to do.

I think so but I don't know. She will say one thing one day then say it is wrong another day. I only do things the way I was told or shown to do but then it is wrong.

You're just a 'worker bee'.
Do what you're told, regardless of how you were trained.

Is the owner the type is person where they need to do things themselves in order for it to feel like it was done right? The issue could have nothing to do with you personally. Are there other workers there you could ask to see if there is something that you might be missing?

And honestly I think getting the upgrade early on made it easier for me to grasp the game early on, too. I feel like I’ve been here way longer than I have.

This is a random question but I had no idea where else to ask. For the people that tends to brood out there PEE/EEP WB girls, do you have luck brooding them out? I'm thinking about doing a few but I don't know if it's really worth it and they're not LB girls.

Warmbloods aren't the best group to brood out. Right now, the cheapest PEE mares are up for about 25k, and at least two in the first ten sorted by cheapest mares have at least a 75% PPP+ producing record. If you'd like to brood out your mares, they'll need to be great producers and you'll probably have to list them for closer to 20k, which lessens the price of the breed overall over time. If you'd like to do it anyway, it'll likely be easier if you cooperate with some WB clubs to have them promote the use of your mares for a lower price.

Brood market overall is going the way of the Dodo. Unless LB or TB I'm seeing all breeds as low as 19K each. That's for EEP combo mares. Best to just hope for RF luck and take them to freshman.

I am no longer a Warmblood breeder (I was for nearly 3 years, but thats beside the point), but I do know that your best luck with broods is to put them out as soon as possible on rollover. If you can do it right on changeover that is ideal. People want to test their stallions asap, so if you can get your mares up very quickly, you have a much better chance of them being brooded out. :)

Thanks guys for the replies back! I noticed the market was wayyy down. But I just can't bare it in my heart to give up on the WBs, I've been breeding them for 6 years now. Maybe I will get some good luck xD
