I've been super fortunate to have bred a lot of decent mares these past few months, but they're all deserving of embryos and because there's a limit I can only pull embs for five of them. First-world problems, I know :') Most are younger too so I'm gonna be stuck with this monthly dillemma for a long while... I guess if the maidens flop I'll be okay for now lol. Anyone with a larger group of embryo-worthy mares have advice? How do you decide who gets embryos each month and who gets demoted to brood? Edited at February 6, 2026 09:18 PM by Bignus Bognus

I feel ya ToT at this point I make embryos with any I plan to use that year, and whichever ones are the highest LB/shiniest, and try to alter around who gets them each RO

That's reasonable :') I think I'm gonna have to rotate who gets embryos amongst my non top-LB ladies in the longer term. This month I'm stuck with 7 mares to deliberate over... perhaps culling would be wise but I like my pons too much lmao

If there is people you know you can trust, you could always send mares over, they pull the embryo then send the mare back? Just a thought :) edit: spelling edit two: ignore me, think I misread your post xD i for some reason thought you meant pull them to sell Edited at February 6, 2026 10:23 PM by Twin Flames

I feel you 😭 I'm lucky I've finally culled my mare herd back within the limit, but before I was struggling so hard.
