You do have to breed approval the foal though because of the double premium part

Is it worth rating a foal if it doesn’t have the colour in the name? Or could it be hiding the gene?

Yeah
All the quests that require certain genes you don't have to gene test to complete them. As long as the foal has the genes it will complete it

I appreciate the replies, I was just throwing horses together beforehand and hoping for the best then I started doubting myself and wondering if I was doing it wrong lol! I appreciate the help 🖤

I've found that if you get one for a quest, you don't have to gene test it and the ZZ quest will just be finished

For a quest it will automatically complete it if it is ZZ. But if you want to know, you'd have to gene test the horse

How do you tell..? If it’s a ZZ silver. If there isn’t any ratings on it..? I’m trying to find one to breed with and I had a system where I was actually pretty good at doing breeding quests but I stopped doing them and I’m trying to collect my little memory again 😭

There is no visual difference between one copy of silver and two. Patterns don't effect the silver gene

Silver ZZ is just a plain silver horse with no other colourings right?

Leveling and showing August 13, 2024 12:36 AM

I've been trying to improve my showing methods recently. I've never had to think about it before, but I have a couple questions about leveling.

1. If a horse levels up while entered in a show, will they be automatically scratched?

2. If no, will they stay entered in their previous level, or will they be moved up to their new level? For example if I enter a level 2 horse and it levels up to 3 before shows run that night, will it stay in a level 2 show or will it move up to a level 3 show where it's very unlikely to make me money?

Thank you for any help <3

I have a bunch of wk 16s that are about to level up, I'm going to enter them now and see how it goes tomorrow for the ones that level

Shows run at 12:15-12:20 am game time, and leveling happens at 3:30 am, so this isn't really an issue unless you enter your horses for the next day within that window. Not sure what would happen if you did and they did level though.

Hi all,
Level up happens after the races every day (as Eyrie states).
However if you enter the horse several days before the race (often true of member/club shows) and that horse levels up between being entered & before the race it will be scratched.
Junior Riders competition is an exception as each rider+horse combo competes in d+xc+j once a week. You just have to remember not to change the rider on those horses if they level up. If you do then it gets scratched because you have changed the combo.
P.s. Best to check your level up report every day. Only change the rider if they are lower than the new level.
If your rider levels up they retain their horses. So you can have a level 2 rider filled up with level 1 horses. This is an advantage in showing and in rate of training.

Yes, entering during that window is what my question was based on. I'm on late into the night in HEE time so I often re-enter shows shortly after they run (12:30-1am GT). If I enter my horess in that window and they level was my hypothetical because I do it and I didn't know what time leveling happened haha
