When Im testing this Stud do I need to test him with brave mares or can I use any ones I want? Ive seen LB Brave boys that have been bred to mares who are not even tested. Im not sure I want to test him correctly to see if he ends up on the LB.

I'd test him with WC brave mares. His ratings are going to boost him up the boards alone so he's worth testing properly. If you could find PEP+ mares with WC bravery that would be even better.

Thanks very much for the info Holly Hill! Maybe I will put him for zero breeding with PEP or higher World Brave mares. I have 3 to use that would leave 7 more to find. Or maybe I can find some up for public breeding. So excited. Edited at February 26, 2023 04:26 PM by Connally Stud

In my experience, bravery studs landed higher on bravery LBs when bred to mares with high AD and low bravery than when they were bred to mares with high bravery and low AD. Obviously being high both would be ideal, but if you're just testing a freshie and not concerend about keeping the test foals, I think the AD rating is more important.
