Do the mini games cost money?
I have just seen that they appear to cost 100ebs each on the "Miscellaneous expenses" section on my accountant.

Is there somewhere where it tells you how much they cost as I can't find anywhere in the help section or on the games page?

if you are reffering to the games like Genetics Practice, Barn Cats, Five Guesses etc in the Games section of community, the games that require an entry fee will say so in their description.

For example - the description for Five Guesses reads "It costs 100ebs to play this game, and you may play up to 10 times per day.
The payout is based on which guess you guess the correct answer:"

Several of the games, like Genetics Practice are free to play.
