I am going to be getting into RID breeding and I was wondering if anyone who breeds/has bred RID's has any tips. How is it different from other "easier" breeds?
I know in other breeds EEE studs aren't "valid" and are worth almost nothing so are automatically gelded. However, looking at the RIDLB, the #11 stud is an EEE and up for breeding for 25k and sold for 800k. There are also 3 other EEE's in the top 20 up for similar amounts for breeding, which leads me to think that EEE RID studs are worth something and worth keeping intact. Is this correct or no?
Also, just glancing at the RIDLB for mares now, I see a couple P combo's. Are those mares worth keeping for RID's?
What should my culling standards be and how much/little do they differ from other breeds culling? What should I expect for training?
Finally, a question about showing/premium accounts. I have noticed that on this account(which is currently free) my horses place much better in shows than on my Premium account, therefore earning me more ebs. Not an enormous amount but enough that if I save all my ebs I can afford a 25 stall barn in about a month. I currently have enough ebs for Premium but don't want to sabotage my showing success, should I hold off getting Premium until I start breeding and need it for the unlimited breed approvals?
Thanks in advance.

RIDs are one of the weakest breeds in the game because you can't interbreed them. It's been a while but I did have an EPE RID on my main account and she placed on the middle of the RID E LB. I think with EEE studs it's worth testing them. If they hit the LB, keep them intact, if not geld them. Same goes with EEP combo mares. As RID is weaker than other breeds you should make some allowances in their training, concerning production I'd cull them just as strictly as I do with any breed. For example: I immediatley cull any AD horse not all up week 5 (maybe if they had a super week 4 and are one down week 5 I keep them to see how they produce). With RID I'd be willing to accept one or two down week 5. With production I expect my horses to have produced their own rating by age 5 and nothing below PPP. I'd use that on RID as well because there are enough weak horses in the game and with RID the chances are even bigger that those horses get to reproduce.
Showing as a free stable is easier than showing as a premium stable.
As a premium stable you only show against other premium stables meaning you're usually competing against more experienced players who know how to show OR they use the BM. I'm no fan of her as she keeps entering horses way too early but I believe she's doing better than new players.
As a free player you show against free players meaning you have a good chance of showing against inexperienced players who still need to get the hang of showing. So the chances of competing against horses not ready to show is much higher than being premium.
As RID are an expensive breed I'd suggest staying a free account until you've built up your showing army and have a steady income.

Definitely second what Moony has said. RIDs are expensive, so PEE combo mares will be your best friend for awhile. I've had better luck with EEE stallions than with other breeds, because right now I'm focusing on the good training instead of the ratings. There's only one WWW stallion so far, so expectations for ratings have to be a little bit lower than with other breeds. However, that does make it incredibly rewarding when you do get a good one. Best of luck!!
