Angel thank you so much! I don’t wanna be a pain - I’m trying to find the rules page but when I search it in forums it’s not coming up. I got onto it a little while ago but can’t remember how - am I doing it wrong?

Also a few questions I have is:

1) Are you allowed to transfer horses between accounts? Like my foals if I put them on a backup and have just a foal account is that allowed? Alongside using the account as well but I’m mostly curious on if that’s allowed?

Thank you both so much, I overran my colt pasture with colts and I’m tryna save money so buying a pasture (is on hold currently) so I’m trying to sort through them and I LOVE patterns so I didn’t want to sell any patterned ones until I know their adult forms!

Ghost,
nice! I've tried putting my mare in a training program here in South Korea, but changed my mind because it wasn't helping with her training. she is in no shape to try eventing right now since she's green, but a little training from me and my friend might help get her into showing since she can learn from Leo (my friends gelding, he's around 5 - 6 years old)

A plain chesnut foal will be a plain chestnut adult unless it have birdcatcher or vitiligo. Horses that are grey will show base coat as adults but get adult version of grey when 3

Yes they stay the same color. The only way they will grow up different is if they have Vitiligo or birdcatcher spots. They don't show on foals but show on adults. Then obviously greys change colors but they will never have patterns show up

Question sorry, do foals that are for example chestnut, do they grow up to be plain chestnut or a bay etc? Basically horses with no visible patterns as a foal do they grow up without patterns on here?

Homozygous means the "same zygotes"

Home = Same

Zygous = Zygote

Heterozygous means the "different zygotes"

A zygote is basically a fertilized egg, and I won't go too far in depth to that because it would be going even further from your question.

To tell if a gene is homo or hetero, you look for what is the same and what is different.

A homozygous gene would either be all capitals, or all lowercase lettering.
A heterozygous gene would have a mix.

Homo:

Extension: EE or ee
Agouti: AA or aa
Creme: CC or cc
Roan: RnRn or rnrn
Dun: DD or dd
Pearl: PrlPrl or prlprl
Silver: ZZ or zz
Champagne: ChCh or chch
Grey: GG or gg
White: WW or ww
Tobiano: ToTo or toto
Splash White: SplSpl or splspl
Sabino: SbSb or sbsb
Rabicano: RbRb or rbrb
Frame: OO or oo
Leopard Complex: LpLp or lplp
PATN-1: PATN-1PATN-1 or patn-1patn-1
PATN-2: PATN-2PATN-2 or patn-2patn-2

Hetero:

Extension: Ee
Agouti: Aa
Creme: Cc
Roan: Rnrn
Dun: Dd
Pearl: Prlprl
Silver: Zz
Champagne: Chch
Grey: Gg
White: Ww
Tobiano: Toto
Splash White: Splspl
Sabino: Sbsb
Rabicano: Rbrb
Frame: Oo
Leopard Complex: Lplp
PATN-1: PATN-1patn-1
PATN-2: PATN-2patn-2

**Brindle isn't accounted for because it's either X+ (Brindle) or X- (No Brindle)
