I have a question about second accounts (I apologise for all the questions) I’ve been debating on doing a second account but I do have some questions!

Thank you both so much, I overran my colt pasture with colts and I’m tryna save money so buying a pasture (is on hold currently) so I’m trying to sort through them and I LOVE patterns so I didn’t want to sell any patterned ones until I know their adult forms!

Ghost,
nice! I've tried putting my mare in a training program here in South Korea, but changed my mind because it wasn't helping with her training. she is in no shape to try eventing right now since she's green, but a little training from me and my friend might help get her into showing since she can learn from Leo (my friends gelding, he's around 5 - 6 years old)

A plain chesnut foal will be a plain chestnut adult unless it have birdcatcher or vitiligo. Horses that are grey will show base coat as adults but get adult version of grey when 3

Yes they stay the same color. The only way they will grow up different is if they have Vitiligo or birdcatcher spots. They don't show on foals but show on adults. Then obviously greys change colors but they will never have patterns show up

Question sorry, do foals that are for example chestnut, do they grow up to be plain chestnut or a bay etc? Basically horses with no visible patterns as a foal do they grow up without patterns on here?

Ally,
Yeah, definitely train her out of that, my mare doesn't like to liste so my friend takes her into the arena to train with her a little bit (she asks me permission or let's me know before she just randomly takes my mare) if you have someone who knows how to train a horse out of that, try and ask them. or do it yourself if you know how

me and my friend likes to take our horses trail riding every now and then but since my friends gelding is well trained (my friend trained her own horse, she did a really good job because im in love with him ) he won't just run off, unlike my mare lol, she'll run through the bit and take off towards the barn

I am hoping to get some tips and tricks to making a profit in member shows. I can't for the life of me get out of the red if I enter more than a couple horses. I've read Hyrim's basic guides but thought I'd ask for more insight.

Thank you in advance!

I forget who it was but another player gave me good advice on this. They told me that the best time to enter member shows is if your horse has done well (1st or 2nd) for 2 or more shows in a row but HAS NOT leveled up yet. You want to enter them when they hit their peak training and have a better chance at winning. As far as entering them goes, if a horse has been showing particularly well (one of my mares won 4 shows in a row), I add them into a member show with a higher payout in the hopes that they win again. You just have to be willing to lose the money if they end up not winning. The show report and level up reports need to be your BFF. I always look at show report first to see who did 3rd or better in regular shows, then check to make sure they haven't leveled up. If they haven't, I'll enter them in a member show. It's helped increase my profits some. I think the key is just to not enter them when they aren't performing well in regular shows and/or have recently leveled up because they aren't likely to win. I'm not an expert by any means and haven't been around long, but it works for me! Hope this helps!

Go through the show report and only enter horses who have placed 2nd/3rd or better. I look for horses that have 0.0 in XC, 100% in dressage, 0 faults in jumping. I typically have 2 tabs open-while going through the show report, I pull the horse's page up in another tab, check through their show history to make sure they have placed well and haven't leveled up. Then I go and enter horses. I usually stick to $5000 and under entry fees. The higher up ones typically have horses entered that have shown more than mine and if there are only 1 or 2 horses entered, there's a higher chance of losing money. If I have horse that is showing really well and has shown a lot, then I will enter in a higher stakes class if at least 2 other horses have already been entered (at 10). The more horses entered, the better. Always try to enter classes that have a lot of other horses entered. Combine that with horses that are at the top of their show game and, voila! Member show profit :)

Thank you to both responders! I'll try my hand again at member shows and see if I've gotten it figured out. XD

I made a profit last night. I'll post links to all of the member shows I entered. Sometimes I enter very low entry fee classes or classes without any entrants just to get some experience on a horse and add some points. This is a rare occurrence, though, as my main goal is always profit.
