So lately I've been trying a new strategy: rather than selling horses who don't do as well for me as I'd like, I'm putting them up for brood. This mainly goes for PEP and PEE mares. The double E mares do pretty well, they're popular and it doesn't take much time at all for someone to breed to them. The PEP's, on the other hand, are a mixed bag. Sometimes they are all bred to, and at other times only one or two of them are.

So currently I'm debating whether it's more profitable to keep the PEPs as broods (with all the rider and food costs that entails) or selling them, but not profiting from any possible brooding.

What do you guys think is more profitable? Keep PEPs as broodmares, or selling them?

And additonally you can show them, so they will earn their food and riders costs themselves ;)
