Okay. So my sister wants me to learn a song on my violin to play at her wedding (Doesn't know date yet) and the ones she likes are Canon in D or 1000 Years. I asked if anyone knows where there is free sheet music for Canon in D that is a violin solo and has marked music notes (I can't read music; I usually play by ear but Canon in D is too hard to do that) that is free?

  • So, there you see are the HEE Chat rules. These rules we all live by in HEE chat correct? Well guess what. These rules Should be updated. And here is why:

1- Many players have been Mini-Moding. Including myself. But now instead of us players mini-moding why don't we all just contact a Mod if something's is happening? I mean, that is what the Mod's are for are they not?

2- No ignoring posts. I have had this happen to me many of times. One time in particular I was trying to ask critiques on my art work. I had to post 6 times with different wording each time before someone even acknowledged me. Now, this is because of players playing favorites with others. They saw their friends in chat, started to chat with them, but shunned anyone else that were in chat. So seriously, you have to be a somebody to even post in chat. It is that bad.

3- Drama. So yes, don't partake in it, and don't post it. But letsa see, what would the mods classify as drama huh? So if we don't know what you Mod's call drama how are we to know what to and not to partake in when chat is always drama?

These are just 3. But I will add more.

Suggestions, comments, and support all welcome!

    1. Neutral; may times older players are more familiar with the nuances of chat and will be able to tell newer ones if something is likely to get them in trouble. It's much better to be "told off" by an older player than to land with a chatbox warning or a timeout.

    2. No. This is because people might not have anything to say...Or the player is wording their post in such a way that they're trying to stir up trouble or drama. If you're seeking critique on art, it's better to post it in the forum instead of a fast moving, prime time chatbox.

    3. Drama is anything that will cause chat to be stirred up into a frenzy. If you wouldn't announce it into a roomful of strangers, it's probably not something you should announce in the chatbox.

    Agree with eury.

But to add my 2 cents to number 2, you cant force people to acknowledge you. I AM going to prefer talking to my friends over strangers. I do my best to acknowledge people in chat, but alot of the people who are being ignored are posting random things that dont pertain to the current conversation in chat. Theres almost always a topic going on in chat... so if I'm paying attention to the current conversation, I'm going to overlook a "critique my art" post. Also, my mama always taught me that if I dont have anything nice to say.. to say nothing at all. So... there's always that aspect of it as well.

If there is a mod active in chat, mini-modding is annoying and unnecessary. We can handle it. I see no problem with people reminding others of rules if a mod isn't immediately right there on top of things.

No one should be forced to respond to anyone. And if you continue posting the same thing over and over, it's spam, which isn't allowed. Sorry, but you'll have to get over it. No one is entitled to a response to everything they post.

As far as drama goes, use common sense.

Maybe people should be focused on following the rules we currently have before trying to add new ones.

Moved, as this is not a suggestion but a discussion about chat behaviour in general.

    Besides:
If I see a user asking six times in a row about art critiques in chat, I would consider this spamming and veiled advertising their art or art shop.
A fast moving main chat during a discussion is not really a propper place to ask for advise and critique.
It is always better to make a forum post if you want to get decent input!

    All of this.

If I'm in chat talking to people, it's either because my friends are in chat or there's a conversation I'm interested in. Also, if you want to feel included, join the conversation instead of trying to start another.
