What happens when a stallion escapes from the humans and stumbles on a small group of mares, led by their matriarch? Will he be able to win her over for protection in numbers? OR perhaps, shall he be able to offer them protection from unknown dangers afoot? . Every horse has a past. A small herd of mares calls home to a perfectly hidden cove nestled along the eastern coastline of Eden. Underneath the warmth of a sun that has radiated brightly and sheilded them from ever having to experience a hard season or lack of food in the time in which they have resided here, they spend their days without worry and their bellies full. That is, until one day, a stranger penetrates the once thought undiscoverable barrier of their small sanctuary and erupts chaos within their midsts. It is up to their leader, a younger mare with more lineage than experience, to determine if he is a threat and if so, how to eliminate it. As they learn he has had contact with humans, will they let their own previous experiences cloud their judgement on how/if to accept him? Edited at May 22, 2024 01:59 PM by Arabian Heritage

Main Characters Played By Ara Name: Amara Age: 3 Year Old Gender: Mare Height: 16.3 Hands Appearance: Naturally, her coat is a clashing combination of a golden palomino trait and a solid black color in a splotchy mix, resulting in a unique tobiano look. Her silky thick plumage is richly cream in color and of average length, flowing behind her frame. Also inherited from her twin genes, Amara displays sectoral heterochromia with one of her eyes being golden amber by default, but the other has stains of blue split almost perfectly down the middle. Aside from her unique color, Amara stands on a tall, leggy frame, tapping in at 17 hands on her tip toes (16.3 officially). The filly appears to have a lot of arabian influence in her bloodline, showcasing a very distanguishable, dished cranium with large eyes, a small muzzle, and a rounded jaw. Her close set audits hide underneath her rather uncharacteristcally fluffy plumage. While evenly muscled over her entire body, her long neck, angled shoulders, and square hips are more so well defined. Her build allows her to achieve an effortless trot that makes her appear as though she is floating. Personality: Taking after her dam, Amara is characteristically sweet natured, though, she can be opinionated. She is less weary of strangers than her dam, but that comes from her lack of experience with the world outside of the cove she has known almost her whole life. Other Characters *These characters are important to the main characters, but they are not a part of the core plotline, so they will make appearances as they are relavent to the story's progression. They may come and go from time to time. Riah is the dam of Amara. Very kind and sweet, but she was also tough and wise. She was one of the last to perish before Amara and the others made it to the shores of the hidden cove. . Mischief is a 3 year old herd mare. She is a spitfire! Though short in stature, standing 14.2 hands, Mischief makes up for it in attitude. . Isa is a herd mare. Very pretty and dainty, Isa is definietly the chatterbox of the group. She is also 3 years old. . Tululah is another herd member, of the age of 4. She is rather quiet and more so mysterious than the other mares. She simply follows in line and keeps to herself. . Priya is a herd mare. She typically has a calm, enjoyable demeanor about her; but she can go 0-60 in seconds. Standing 15 hands even, her stature may not be intimidating alone, but the amount of muscle on the equine is enough to give anyone a decent challenge. . *More To Be Added Edited at May 22, 2024 02:08 PM by Arabian Heritage

As the sun peaked over the mountainous terrain, many miles away, the light began to slither over the rocky cliffsides that encircled a large amount of land below. The drastic drop in sea level around this part of the area had allowed new life to sprout, creating a grassy plain that took hold, supporting bluegrass and an assortment of wildflowers best. A magestic waterfall flowed heavily off a portion of the cliffside, creating a freshwater source as it flowed below and then to the mouth of the ocean via a calm river. Single trees scattered about the open expanse, created small places of shade, but what supported any number of creatues best was the large sized cave, very well hidden behind the cascade of water. The walkway to the entrance of this den led travelers around the pool the waterfall initially fed into before flowing down towards the beach. Small, cool waves gently brush over this stone pathway, calling for very cautious travel along this stretch or one might slip and fall. With steep, jagged rocks all along one side (extending out into the surf on either end) and an endless ocean on the other, the cove seemed inpenetrable. Even the equines who resided here had never found a way out - unless you felt brave and strong enough a swimmer to slice through a rip tide and avoide being thrown into the rocks by monsterous waves in order to swim to the other side of the cove. Needless to say, no one had dared go out, nor come in. . Amara remembered very well of how her herd had wound up here. She had been born out at sea, on a boat with humans. But something had gone wrong and all the horses were cast overboard, left to drown. She was only a foal then, probably no more than 3 or 4 months at the time. However, she could remember how strenuous the swim was. The time on the ship in slings had left them all with weak muscles, having not been able to stand under their own weight for many months since their embarkment. The waters were dangerous, her dam would say, urging her to stay between her and the other adults. Amara used them to rest occasionally as they all swam in a large group in one direction, praying to find land. Predators underneath the tide picked them off, one by one, and each day, their numbers dropped. All the adults had pushed the young horses towards the middle of the group to protect them from attacks below with their own longer, sharper hooves. By the time they reached the shore, it was Amara and five others, including her dam, that had survived from the intitial 15 who were thrown overboard. Amara's dam did not survive without injury. She had suffered a wound and later on would pass from infection. Amara was crushed - all of them were - because now, it was up to five fillies to figure out how to survive. They had washed up on this cove and here, they rested, relearned how to walk without slings, and ate until they were healthy once more. Initially, they had tried to find a way out, but it was found to be imposisble. So, they stayed. The cove was able to support all of them and keep them out of danger. In the end, it turned out to be their own little paradise. . Amara watched the sun rise from underneath a palm tree where she had chosen to sleep the night previous. The golden portions of her coat nearly shimmered as the rays hit the sand that littered her skin. The wind blew calmly, wrapping her in the warmth of the air. A yawn parted from her lips as she pulled her leggy frame from the sand. She offered a shake of her body and send sand flying into the breeze. As her eyes continued to adjust to the light, by memory, she walked towards the river, dousing her dry and shriveled palate with the sharpness of the refreshing water. From the sandy shore, she peered back towards the waterfall to see that none of the other fillies had awakened yet. But that was usual, as they tended to sleep in.

After a few more hours, the other mares began to emerge from the cave, slowly making their way towards the black and gold filly. "Good morning," they all exchanged with sleepy words. Amara couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "It's nearly noon, now." She teased, nudging the dark grey filly that stood nearest to her. The mare, Mischief, rolled her orbs and ignored her dear friend, pulling her head down to the grass and grabbing a mouth full. . Given how low the herd was hidden in the cove, there was never a scent in the air, which meant they were never aware of any other creatures in the area. However, the unwavering security of the cliffs allowed them to never thing very hard about it. Amara continued to graze with the other mares until they were ready to migrate towards the fresh water. Not having a thirst to quench, the mare found herself drawn to the ocean, the wind blowing with her, pushed her into a frisky trot as she tossed her head and kicked up the sand beneath her small hooves. As she ventured closer to the waters, something caught her eye in the distance. Calming her steps, she headed towards the object and began to gently paw at the loose sand. A small, pink shell met her gaze and she bent her dished cranium to investigate it further. She had never seen such a pretty shell but she did like the small trinkets that would wash up every now and again. She went to nudge the small item with her muzzle but suddenly it began to move! Amara jumped back before her curiousity got the better of her. She noticed thin, spindly legs under the shell and watched as the mysterious creature began waffling back towards the ocean. After making sure the tiny creature was out of the way for good, the mare shook her frame and then began for the water, truly this time. Edited at May 23, 2024 10:37 PM by Arabian Heritage

Amara allowed the cool salt water to crash against her pelt and swirl around her legs are she steppped into the tide. Gulls filled the air with calls up above as they appaeared to be flying over a school of fish with hungry eyes. The other mares had slowly made their way to the beach as well, slowly venturing towards the water so the uniquely colored mare soon joined them.
