"There's a legend that goes around this village, along with Fireloom and Flightnight. They say every 2 years, on November 14th People and horses made from whisps of twilight appear out of the forests bordering all 3 of our villages. While they wear cloaks of both midnight and silver, certain people can feel a pull... a connection to some of these shadowed riders. Some claim it to be realtives or friends of theirs that have died in tragic accidents with their steeds, while most claim it to be vengeful spirits who cannot find a reason to pass yet. Either way, we know when they appear every 2 years, when the moon is full on November 14th children and foals alike will go missing. Without a trace they dissapear like the moon behind the mountains bridging our land like they never existed. Shadow Riders take them to their land, a place of light. Where they aren't cloaked with the night's blanket anymore and can return to their former selves once again. In this haven, it's beautifully bright with crystal waterfalls, green fields, plentiful orchards, and never-ending hunting prey. Where those who have perished with their steeds go when they die. The children and foals they take with them are usually young, raised as their own along with each other in a pair of human and horse. When they grow up, they too will accompany them. Though they don't only come out on November 14th to kidnap a child from each village. They leave gifts for those they left behind in any form whether a pendant, pet, or on rare cases a foal. The more... deadly reason for arriving is to spread justice to those they deem unworthy of living, slipping them into death silently. No one is sure why or how these riders exist, but either live in fear or calmness of their presence. While almost everyone believes this as a fable, they actually exist as peacekeepers of this land. Never look down on them or prepare to face your karma."
