The human population had spiked upward over the course of a few years from where we are now, making even more pollution, water waste, and wild fires possible. Animals from land, sea and water were dying out and even the usual squirrel or fish was a rare sight to behold. To add on to that problem, in 2 years a dangerous virus would come and most likely wipe the population out. So what did people do? On a far away land roamed mystical creatures you wouldn't see today. Wyverns, Pegasi, Giant wolves, and horses could be seen roaming the lands along with everyday animals. This land, untouched by humans, had been discovered by a young man, the age of 18 years and came up with a solution. A select group of 20 people were to be chosen to be put into a long frozen sleep, while the rest of the human population was to slowly dwindle away. Most called it impossible, but scientist Clivhard had agreed to help the man. 20 people were chosen after 3 months, 10 male, 10 female under the age of 30 years. None of them related whether that be because they are siblings or cousins. They had 5 months to prepare themselves, doing whatever they pleased to do before going into a 100 year slumber. They were allowed to bring 1 animal companion with them if they pleased, but couldn't bring more. Their items would be transported by a helicopter to the island and buried by the foot of a small sapling tree that would grow to be heads taller then the others. 5 months passed, the humans were put to sleep along with a few animal companions, 16 months afterwards the virus had come, wiped out the population and left. Which brings you to now, 98 years later. The soft click and hiss of one of the capsules could be heard as the door slid to the side, the person inside blinking their disoriented silver eyes. It took a while, but eventually they took their first step onto Krown Island. The cave he was in was dark and dimly lit as he stumbled trying to find his way out. But the walk was worth it, for the sight he saw before him was the grandest thing he had seen since he was just a child. The sky was painted yellow and orange, with a stroke of dark purple and blue at the bottom of the sky. Bright, small, stars dotted the sky like jewels and many swirls from a milky way could be easily seen. The moon was silver like his eyes, a perfect crescent shape as it cast its silvery glare down onto the world below him. What had really caught his attention though was a horse. One of a breed he did not recognize. It had thick, velvety fur and a build similar to that of a Clydesdale horse. A glowing orange spiral-like marking was at the back corner of each of her amber eyes. Her hooves were more sharp and pointed, like that of a throwing spear and fangs could be seen whenever she let out a whinny. Slowly, the white mare turned to look at him, her eyes narrowing when she gazed upon him. Stomping her cream hooves she took steps towards him till directly in front of him, judging him as she stood unmoving. The boy stood, unfazed by her intimidating presence. Finally, the mare narrowed her eyes and let out a scream, rearing. Still, he stood unmoving. Instead of flinching, he moved his hand to touch her nose gently, stroking upward towards her forehead. "Gala, that will be your name. My name is £8}…34." (I dare you to try and decode the name >:3 Edited at February 7, 2020 11:41 PM by Geno
