@Angels, just curious, do you have issues keeping up with humidity? I live in the desert so getting high humidity species (like a ball, even a corn) sort of scares me. >.<

Some of them are crazy if they aren't handled as babies enough. My one female will try to take your finger off lol but for the most part they are very chill
They are more chill than crested geckos in my opinion

I've always thought day geckos were pretty! How interactive are gargoyle geckos? Are they more decoration than handeable?

I breed gargoyles

A girl in my class breeds Madagascar day geckos and I traded her three of my gargoyle babies for three of her babies! They are so tiny and green!

Remind me what kind of geckos you breed.

Always happy to chat about reptiles! Did you see the new baby geckos I got?

@Angels, I will probably go back in the future to make sure that is the snake I want, but just thought I would chat with another reptile enthusiast too! ;)

Thats awesome that you got to do that and see which one you like better! The more research the better!

@Angels, I also went to a reptile room recently and got to hold both a ball python and a corn snake. I kind of enjoyed having the corn snake slither all over me.

Ahh you'll be fine. The babies aren't very strong so they can't open a lid as easily lol. But if you are worried about it maybe get a juvenile or sub adult instead of a hatchling

08:53:05
@Angels, lol, I am mostly worried about getting a thin/tiny baby that can fit through the tiniest of gaps.

Ball pythons are way more of escape artists than corn snakes lol just make sure you keep the enclosure locked. And if it is a regular tank with a screen lid tou can buy metal latches to keep it secureb

@Angels, corns eat better too and their humidity/heating sounds easier. My biggest fear of getting a corn though is having it escape.

Ahh yeah that makes sense. Then you probably would want a cornsnake or even a kingsnake
They are way more active. Ball pythons can be active but it is more at night when it is dark

@Angels, I like the idea of being able to see my snake roam their enclosure more frequently than a ball python would.

Whys that?

08:47:41
@Angels, been thinking they might be a better fit for me than a ball python.

so i live in central Portugal, and at the moment in my area there are a lot of huge wildfires in many town and villages. Were talking biiig ones, with thousands of firefighters trying to put them out.
Im scared for my home, my families home (we live close) my animals, everything. There have always been fires every summer over here because of the heat, but never as bad as this. Currently theres one blazing just an 8 minute drive from me. And im also scared one will pick up near where my horses are, which is a 20min drive away, so im scared i wont know whats going on there seeing as its not close. Every night i go to sleep with a list in my mind of what essentials i want to take from my place in case of a fire. Every half hour i check fire maps and websites to be sure there isnt one around my horses.
Fucking terrified.
pray for me my dudes

thanks babes <333
luckily they have just caught this crazy fucking phsyco dude that was apparently setting off a ton of the fires in my area, so hopefully they die down. Although that doesnt stop fires occuring naturally, like when people leave smashed glass on the ground, or lighters, or stupid things like petrol cans.

oh damn. 2018-2020 in Aus was like this. we had a about 100 homes being burnt down every day and there was a big fire that friends who live 10 minutes away had to evacuate for. I could see the flames every night for 5 days before they finally got it with fire breaks. I hope your ok <3

California in the US gets a lot of wildfires per year, as does Montanna, Colorado, and Wyoming. And this year it's pretty bad again. A lot of our fires are due to lightning strikes during storms, but we do have a lot of assholes who toss out lit cig butts, or don't put out thier campfires properly.
