I think it would be less bad if I had a side hustle or something, but I don't. I don't even know where I would start to find something or what skills I would need. Anything that would at least help pay for the exorbitantly expensive groceries T.T
I think the issue here is there's just too many people and not *enough* jobs. I live in a one stoplight town with a huge high school but it only has two gas stations, two restaurants and a McD's. Next closest bigger town is 45min either way, and one of those has a state college so that's even more people needing jobs

Yeah the only way I've been able to get a job is when I had a friend or family already working there, now a days if you don't got someone holding the door for you your not getting in - or at least in my area 🙃
I just think people are either picky or have very very specific criteria. My buddy in ND can't find a job either. He's an accountant. His current company is going to be nonexistent in a couple years and he needs to find a new job fast.
I got a job offer to work at a hospital during my first job as a barista because the lady liked how I handled myself. Now I can't even get a job as a barista. I'm also looking at traveling an hour for $10/hr. Thankfully I get good fuel mileage but still
'Thankfully' OH minimum wage is 10 but a year ago in upstate NY I walked out of a shitty job after 3 weeks and had another, better paying position in less than a month. This is insane.
It's not like I'm not qualified either. I have experience in food service, manufacturing, and field service but none of those fields want me. Like come on guys I have three dollars:( Thankfully my fiance has a job but paying all the bills is going to drain his savings eventually
