Revel, My first bird was my Green Cheek Conure baby. She was a gift from the lady I interned with. But I'd say in terms of "super simple" care, I'd go with budgies. They DO need more than one, but they're smaller, bite less hard, and are less expensive than a cockatiel- who also need to be purchased in pairs.
Revel, I know they have some anxiety treats. Maybe I should check Amazon and see if any have overnight shipping. They'd have to arrive tomorrow at the latest
I'm really hoping that putting his favourite treats in there will entice him to explore a bit. It's going to be so much better for him than his old carrier, I'm positive
I got new bird carriers that are bigger and more comfortable, for the three day drive my babies are about to take with me. One of them is terrified of it, and I feel awful for scaring him :(
