Emergency vets are usually open frequently, but they aren't good for exotics... Like they can see my pets same day, but the odds of them having a herp or avian specialist is a coin toss. To actually GET a specialist? It's a two-three month wait, 100%
@Versa, that issues have in Colorado sound a lot like the ones we have in Utah. Thankfully we have a good vet who has a short wait time and will see emergencies.
Revel, Our other problem with Colorado is the population. Getting one of my birds into a vet was over two months! Just a normal checkup, with a note of limping. There's just too many people, especially for *human* doctor appointments. Tennessee is supposedly better
Revel, I think you two would be pretty shocked at the house price differences between Tennessee and other states... It's honestly incredible. If Utah is making you two miserable, Tennessee might be much more welcoming
And, I mean... I shouldn't be so terrified. My parents WANT me to stay with them, they adore me and I don't particularly want to get married and move out lol. But I barely knew life in Scotland before ending up in Colorado, so I've lived here for 95% of my life. It's scary anyways

Revel, Yes. The Colorado house sold for a very impressive amount... Over triple what they paid for it initially. I'd rather not talk exact numbers. But it's enough to pay for a brand new house with even more property, built to our specifics. I'll have an entire floor to myself.
