Whoa, the requirements here are less harsh too. My moms biggest problem were the checkups in which someone comes to your house, but we took a dog from a shelter 300km away, so they only checked us before we got the dog. Later on we were asked like twice to send a photo of her and that was it.
If I didn't want to train a therapy dog i would have also thought about a shelter dog, but getting a shelter dog here is hard. As for money, they are like 250 to 500 euro while i paid almost 2 k for a pup with papers. But shelters got such harsh requirements. You can't be working full time, but need a job too. You need a fenced garden, preferably no stairs, etc.
Diva, it's hard to work about it when it happened only a few times and we cannot seem to figure out the pattern as to why she did that. Also I make the basic mistake - I'm scared of her.
I feel you Ariel - one of my dogs I got from a co worker who had gotten him from another coworker when he was about 4/5 months old. At the time she was gone for about 14 hours a day from time she left for work and he would be in the crate the whole time. She let him out at night and he ate into the couch - like what you expect so I decided to take him cause she was gonna give him away. HeÂ’s definitely quirky cause he wasnÂ’t socialized right. Not mean just scared and high anxiety and energy but heÂ’s probably the coolest dog IÂ’ve had
it all comes back to training and working with your pet really, i like really sweet dogs, but they would bite in certain circumstances, its just personal preference
My dog bites sometimes. And when she can she goes for the face. But in my country everyone says that those dogs from the shelters love people and would do anything for you. This is why it pisses me off, someone then can adopt a dog, get one that bites and just turn it back to the shelter because they didn't expect that. And that makes the trauma for the dog.
Only thing I dislike about adopting here is the misinformation. I don't like the talk that all the pets from the shelter are so awesome and have no flaws.

If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying

Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
