The one in dc was a military issue. They had a helicopter in the wrong place - I normally fly from Dulles (incredibly close to the crash today) and the accident that happened was a complete freak issue. I can agree, though, airline food is awful. I'm normally with Virgin though and their lunches are gorgeous
I have been on tons of planes too and have never been afraid until I saw this accident that happened last night. Totally could have been avoided and should not have happened.
I have a New York trip planned in august, and I'm terrified of flying. Especially right now. But from where I am, a train or car would take a minimum of 4-5 days (of non-stop travel).
@Gypsy, true, just odd that so many have happened recently. I agree that airline food is horrible. I avoid it at all costs because it makes me sick each time.
@Revel; put it in perspective. Roughly 40K people a year die in car accidents. Plane crashes are incredibly rare and tragic, so we hear more about them. Statistically, more people are killed by donkeys per year than airplanes. (Airline FOOD, now, that's a whole other risk. I just flew in from vegas last night and my stomach may never be the same.)
Grrr, I just noticed after training that the BM switched the rider with my one SD horse to Dressage and now I had 9 other horses train in the wrong discipline because of this one crappy dude. That's it -AD for you now too! Get in line with all the others!
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.
