Sam snorted at her comment. As they made their way into the cosy cafe, Sam was enticed by the aroma of bread, cake and good food. Taking a quick look at the menu, he aked Ellie "can we eat here? please?" givving her puppy-dog eyes

The sweet but safe smell filled Ellies head with warms, so much so that she didn't quite get what Sam had said, but she nodded anyway when she saw the look of his face. "Wh- Yeah, sure!" She said quickly as she want to take a seat at a table for two. "It's too cute in here," she said with a small laugh. Edited at May 14, 2021 03:05 PM by Belle

Sam grinned as he plopped down in his comfy seat. Simming the menu, he said "hmm, avocado toast with egg..sounds good." He said, handing the little menu to Ellie to look through (sorry short!)

(It's fine!) Ellie nodded lightly, "Of course that's what you think," She said with a small chuckle before taking the menu gently, her eyes read along the page. "I don't know." she huffed after a moment, "I don't know what to get." She murmured before passing the menu back to him, "Pick for me." She offered with a laugh.

Sam raised a brow a little, smiling as he took it. Scanning it once more, he said "hmm, what about grilled mozzarella and tomato panaini? sounds good." He said, placing the Menu on the table and fiddling with a bit of loose hair that had flopped onto his forehead.

Ellie smirked a little before nodding, "It does indeed, Grilled mozzarella and tomato panaIni it is!" She sung before sitting back in the chair. She let her eyes wonder slightly, the oddest feeling overtaking her. She was always at the yard, so when she did 're-enter society' it was always quite strange, but even more so with someone familiar to herself.

Sam ordered for them both when the kind waitress came by. When she had left to the kitchen, Sam saw ellie's odd expression and said "i know how it feels. weird socializing, isnt it?" he said as he took a small sip from his water, surveying his surroundings. There were all kinds of people in the cafe, so Sam took some time to people-watch and think up interesting stories of their made-up backgrounds.

"It feels more strange not knowing faces." She stated as she turned her attention back towards Sam. "You know, not being able to put names to them." She shrugged before sitting up. "I haven't been out to eat for a year or so, and when I do It's just to the local convince store." Ellie observed. She didn't really realize how long it had been up until she thought about it, and it just told her to get out more.

"yeah i get it, havent really been out either." Sam said, as he observed the cute, cosy interior of the cafe, smiling. After a few minutes of chatting, the waitress came over with their food. Sam rubbed his hands together with glee at the gorgeous food in front of them. Picking up his knife and fork without another word, he tore into the food, savouring every bite. At one point he paused in his eating and said to Ellie "toast OK?"

"Hm?" She murmured with a mouth full of food before swallowing "Yes it is! Good pick on your part." She smiled sweetly before tilting her head. "You looked exited when you saw the food coming to you, does it match your expectations?" She asked with a small laugh then took an even smaller bite of her panaini. It really was good, and was a much needed break from her normal junk food.
