"absolutely, all set!." Sam said, grabbing his comfiest XC saddle and bridle, and making his way to Nero. His horse had fully recovered, and was healthy and happy, ready to ride. Sam tacked him up in a matching burgundy set, and led him out slowly into the yard, blinking in the harsh sunlight. Sam was dressed just in a baggy T-shirt and jeans, he couldnt be bothered to get properly dressed. Getting his bag, Sam saddled up and waited for Ellie.

"Great!" She smiled as she put the heavy lump of a saddle on Astras back. She tackled up swiftly before mounting, reaching the soft breeze at hight, carrying all the scents of the forest with it. "Ready to go?" She asked softly before pushing Astra along the smooth track, "I'm gonna ask, how are we getting to the town?" She asked with a soft chuckle.

"i know a back-route, a bridleway into town." Sam said as he happily set off with ellie at a lively walk out of the yard. He reached the road, and looking bth ways, he turned them off it onto a wide dusty track overshadowed by trees. "pretty neat, eh? only takes us 25 minutes to get there on this track." Said Sam, nudging Nero into a trot.

"Awesome. We'll be there in no time!" She grinned as she tried to get Astra to follow him along in a trot, taking a few steps and of a lope every now and then to keep up. She soon heard the soft buzz of the town, letting her face light up. They would still have q few minutes until they got there but either way, she was excited.

"look, there it is around the corner!" Sam said as they rounded the bend of the road, the bustling little town awaiting them. Smiling, Sam led them to the large well-fenced field on the outskirts of town, opening the gate and walking in. Dismounting, he took off Nero's tack and set him free to graze. From then he stood at the enterance of town with Ellie. "well, we're free to do whatever we want from now." Sam said as he took in all the people, the biuldings, shops and cafes.

Ellie nodded and parked her gelding up next to Nero and dragging his saddle from his back. "All righty!" She smile before taking him into the paddock. "Are you sure were allowed to keep them here?" She asked with a tilted head before closing the gate. "Why don't we get lunch or something? Then we can see what we want to do?"

(holy mother of cheeses, i got through to r2 of the artist rumble!) "yep, positive. I talked to the owner and he said it's fine." Sam said happily, dusting a bit of dirt off his jeans. "sure, lunch sounds good! why don't we have a wonder around and see what place looks the best?" Sam asked.

(Jesus Christ Mary Joseph and the wee donkey, well done! I've seen your art around, its amazing <3) "Perfect, that's what we'll do then," She smiled before starting to walk down the dirt path and onto the concrete paths along the side of the street. "I don't actually think I've gone out for lunch for a long time.... Must be better than pot noodle, though." Ellie smiled as she slowed a little to stay at Sams side.

(thank youuu, still shocked!) 'anything is better than pot noodle!" Sam said as he laughed and moved into pace with Ellie. "Hey that place looks nice!" He said as he pointed to a cute little cafe across the street. "lets go check the menu." Sam said as he crossed the street happily.

"Don't dis it." She murmured as she examined the little shop curiously. Ellie nodded and made her way across the street and pausing in front of the shop waiting for Sam. "Ladies first!" She teased him, pointing towards the door. She followed him in after the bell on the other side dinged gently. Edited at May 14, 2021 02:29 PM by Belle
