Sam smiled softly. "yeah that would be nice. Give us a little break from..all this." he gestured at the air that was fizzing with tension from earlier, and from the stress of Ruin's illness. A hack would make them both a little more relaxed, they should have fun. Sam looked at her aain, movin out of the stable and iving a slight wave. "gonna go groom Nero, see you later." he said, movin across the yad to the tackroom, where he gathered some grooming brushes.

Ellie nodded lightly to him, offering a wave. "Awesome, I'll see you later then," She grinned before turning back towards her little hut. She had already finished for the day, so was debating on whether she could just relax a bit.

When Sam had otten all his brushes, he dumped them on the round, and lead Nero over to the crossties, smoothing out his mane and murmering kind words to him. Methodically he went over the horse's shining body, removin any stray dust or hair that he might have gathered. Sam also picked out the horse's hooves, and applied a mousturizing ointment to them to prevent cracking. Once he was done, he popped him into the stable, giving him all his necessities fo the day, heading back to the cabin for a read.

Ellie looked silently out of her window for a while, just taking in the surroundings. Their little accommodation block was just next to the forest, so they often had little animals going past, which she had always enjoyed. She was watching a little robin hop around for a few moments before she got a knock on the door, then it opened. "Ellie!" Aarons called, to which she jumped up excitedly. "You brought me food?" She questioned expectantly, to which he handed her a tin full of Sheppard pie. She grinned up at him, her smile only growing, "Thank you, this is always better than pot noodle." She said with a laugh. Aaron chuckled and shook his head, "I had some left over, so help yourself," He offered with a smile.

Sam heard laughing in one of the cabins, but didnt bother to check who it was. He grabbed a book and settled down in a comfy chair on the miniporch, breathin in the fresh, foresty air and watching the birds swoop up and down through the treetops. Sam sighed, leaning back as he sand deep into the pages of the book, his reality melting away into somebody elses.

Ellie chuckled and shook her head, "So, I'm getting your scraps now, huh?" She complained with a huff, though her act was sarcastic. "It's better than whatever crap you were going to eat." Aaron reminded her with a laugh before getting ready to leave again. "Mhm, sure, but I think you'll find that my food is delicious-!" She called as he left before going to heat up her food. As she placed the pot on the stove she spotted a light coming through the opposite window. She peered through, only to see Sam getting into his book. So, you're a book worm. She though in amusement before tapping on it to get his attention.

Sam looked up, shocked and dazed at the noise he had heard, his eyes tearing away from the cosy pages. Looking around, he saw Ellie's face in the window opposite, its warm light casting a faint glow around her outline. he smiled, a little confused and gave a crooked wave back from his awkward position in the chair.

Ellie chuckled at his momentary bewilderment and odd little wave. She had always been quite outgoing and didn't particularly like being alone so even if there was a wall between them, she liked to know that there was people around. She gave a small wave back before placing a little of the pie on a plate and going to sot down on her own chair.

Sam smiled crookedly once more, before his eyes foun the pages of his book. He snuggled into his comfy chair, drawing a fluffy blanket around his body so he didnt get cold in the evening air. Diving in, he was once more engulfed with the words of the hardback book. after just 5 minuts, he shut his eyes and fell asleep in the chair, the songs of the birs lulling him away from nightmares.

Ellie ate and got ready for bed, but not before putting a few sandwiches together for the next day. After a while of sitting in bed and looking at the ceiling, she finally managed to fall asleep.
