Sam raised his eyebrows slighty and jumped off the fence, hearing the approaching footsteps of the manager. he put on his best "happy to help" face and stood next to Ellie. The Barn Manager came into view and Sam could see exactly what kind of person she was with just a glance. Tiht, pursed lips, hair faught viciously into a tight bun, strides brisk and powerful. sam shook his head a little and offered his hand out to be shake. "hi, i'm Sam."

Ellie put a slight look of shock as the lady made her way around the corner, it happened to quickly for Ellie's brain, so that when she went to talk, all that came out was, "Ihe-", before she dropped her head, slightly embaressed as the lady approached them, looking Ellie up and down in disgust before turning to Sam with a slightly raised brow. "When did you get here?" She questioned, her voice slighty drawn out, "You know what, never mind." She stated before turning to Ellie. "Take me to this pony. I need to make sure you didn't do something stupid again by agreeding to his surgury." She almost growled to the girl, Ellie already making her way towards the stables. Well, he's alive, isn't he? Ellie thought with a huff.

"you hired me as a stable hand-" Sam managed to get out before the lady ordered them to take them to Ruin. Sam exchanged a wide-eyed look with Ellie behind her back as they trottd after her. Sam opened thedoor to the little pony, who was happily eating some hay, his surury wound healed well.

Ellie had an apologetic look across her face for Sam sorry that the manager, known as Cindy, had been so cruel to him while he was trying to be nice. She placed herself to the side of Ruins stable, opening the door for Cindy, but the lady just barged through the door impatiently. Ellie didn't really want to know what she was ranting on about, so she just rested her head against the stable wall, her deep blue eyes looking much more fiery than that of before.

Sam raised hi eyebrows as Cindy barged in past him. She grunted as she bent down, examining the ponies underside. "Hmm. How much was this?" She said. "6k." Sam said "but we almost have it all.

"We're just waiting for my auction to end-" She added quietly, checking her phone, the auction only having a few minutes left on it. She swiftly put it away, as if she didn't want Cindy to see it. Ellie was nervous that she would disapprove of their decision to give the old gelding the surgery, but all that really mattered to Ellie was that the pony was alright, so she could take the speech of need be.

Cindy examined the piny roughly, seeming a little unhappy that he was doing so well, she just wanted to complain about something. She said "he seems allright. you had better pay it all." then she proceeded to barge out of the stable. Sam looked at Ellie when she had left, wigling his eyebrows. "i see now what you men." he lauhed, still shocked at the woman's behaviour. SSam walked outside, the air tasting sweet and sharp on his tounge compared to the stable.

"She just wants something to complain about," Ellie replied with a small smile, still standing by the now grumpy looking pony. "But we'll be sure top have the money soon, just for her," She teased, rolling her eyes before walking back out next to him, "Just a few minutes left- and it looks like we will have a little extra for our efforts," She said with a small smile. She looked a little more relaxed now the manager had left, but she was still off. The manager wasn't the worst person in the world, but Ellie hated to be judged- it made her feel inferior, and useless, so having someone at her side made her feel slightly better. (sorry been a tad inactive, life got in the way :p) - Sam smiled, scratching the little pony's forehead, the horses head bobbing up and down contentedly. "you ok?" Sam said, noticing the irked expression in Ellies (rarther beautiful, now he thought about it) eyes. That manager had been such an idiot. It was hard to believe that a woman like that would be able to manag a large group of empathic horses, who would always feel her angry emotions fizzing and popping in the air like fireworks.

(That's totally fine! I get that it happens sometimes.) "She just... She either annoys me or scares me. Her very being agitates me." She huffed with furrowed brows. "But I'm fine..." She said quietly before repeating it a little louder. She woman always got on her nerves. She had helped out with one of the school horses, and she and Sam had managed to cough up the money for Ruins vet bills, while Cindy tried to find a way to put them all down. "Hey," she started getting to change the subject, "How do you feel about a long hack tomorrow? We could pack a picnic ot something. It'd be nice." She questioned with a smile. It had been a long while since she had done anything of sort, so was hoping that Sam would approve of the idea.
