He scrunched his face up. "I just rested though." He wasnt really going to win this argument, he knew that, but he could say that anyway.

He sighed. "I know, I know. I just don't really ever sit still." He gave her a sheepish grin. "I'm always expecting something bad to happen."

He thought for a minute. "I will compensate and lay here but let's play a game or something."

"What kind of game?" she looks at him her head tilted slightly

He shrugged. "Anything that'll keep me remotely occupied while I lay here." He flopped onto his back with a slight wince and then glanced over at Ellie. "You probably know more games than I do sine I never had anyone to play with."

She thought for a moment "I know a few card games" she tugs one of her bags over and pulled out a deck of unused playing cards the box wasn't even open yet. She pushed the bag back into its place and opened the box of cards then shuffled them after removing the joker cards. "We can play solitaire or go fish?" she looks at him as she shuffled the cards trying not to bend them all up. The cards weren't normal, they have images of wild horses on them, normally the backs would be blue, red, or black designs but Ellie had gotten these cards from the old ranch owner whose farm she used to sneak off to before she ran away with Sage.

He shrugged. "I dunno, never played either. Teach me whichever one ya like better." He rolled over onto his stomach with a grunt, ribs protesting as he did so.
