"its worth a try. i can get some people to help is need be." he said, thinking his friends from town would be happy to come. "why should i have said anything? its no big deal." Sam had never really celebrated his birthdays much because he was always alone. His father always sent him a wad of cash and a brief happy birthday card written by his secretary.

"It might not be a big deal, but you should have said so I could give you happy birthday or a cake or... something. You could go out or something." She said firmly. She was still contemplating his idea of getting his friends to help out, and she was sure she could round up a few people to help out, but her friends weren't really... Horsey per say. "Aaron should help out, once he fully registers whats going on." She assured.

"no seriously i never do anything for my birthday. its just another day for me.." Sam said, rfowning ever so slightly. "yeah good idea. Aaron could help and my friends Will Jack and Suzie can help out as well." he said. "ill call them now." He took his phone out of his pocket and dialled Will. "hey, Will, i know its last minute but could you and the others come tomorrow?" then he explained why and what they neeed to do. Will agreed immediately and said he's be there to help out late tomorrow.

Ellie didn't like his reply. Her birthdays were usually quite a big thing- Parties, get together, restaurants and what not were he normal, apart from the last few that were slightly smaller, but she always had something going on, "How old will you be? She asked before waited for him to get off the phone again before speaking up again "Are they coming?" She questioned lightly till a tilted head.

"i'll be 18." sam said quietly. "and yes, they are coming tomorow morning. i was thinking kids activities like obstacl couses on horseback and things like that. we could even have a Ruin Raffle!" he said, grinning.

"You don't wan't to do anything on your 18th?" She questioned, a little confused, but she soon dropped this and let him be. If he didn't want to celebrate, she wouldn't make him. "Oh, that would be fun!" She said with a smile, "But a Ruin raffle? How would that work?" She asked with a small laugh. "Obstacle races!" She said soon after, taking in his first idea, "Only in walk or trot, of course, but sill!" she exclaimed with a smile.

"i dont know, maybe ill do something...the last time i had family or friends round for my birthday was when i turned 10." He admitted."hmm. like people buy raffle tickets and we have some prizes they could win." He explained. "im sure the yard owner would let us borrow some of the ponies here, and kids can even bring their own."

|
"Yeah, something like that would be good." She said thoughtfully. "I'll lend Astra as well... for the big kids to play on." She said with a small laugh. "And we could have a pony pamper session for Ruin, I'm sure he'd love that." She said with a small smile turning back for the little pony, who still had his muzzle sitting on the door. "Hes so tired, bless him." She said with a laugh.

"great ideas. ill put Nero in too, he loves kids." He said. "what about doing it all in the big flat paddock?" he pointed in its direction. "that way we can set things up and its flat and not dangerous. and we can have some activities in the arena maybe?" he pondered.

"We could set up a small marked hack for them as well, I can take them around." She shrugged, looking thoughtfully at the fields. "Yeah, thats a smart idea." She shrugged. "And when will this be happening?" She asked with a small yawn,"Because I'm not sure if I could handle tomorrow." She grumbled softly.
