Sam frowned, running his hands through his hair, which was wat he did when he was nervous. after a while, he walked quietly to the hay barn and settled near to Ellie on a bale. He didnt say a word, but he felt it was better iif he stayed silent. and so they sat there and stared nto space, Sam occaisonally closing his eyes.

After a few minuets, Ellie lent back against the hay bales, taking a short look at Sam, offering a wonky, and very small smile. "I'm too tired for this," She said softly in an attempt to lighten the very dark mood. She wiped her face dry, but only one she felt that she was done, but one or two tear drops fell across her cheeks.

Sam gae a small smile in return. "same here. i just hope everything goes smoothly and that Ruin is ok." He said shakily, taking a piece of hay from his hair and twirling it between his fingers. Sam never cried, but he felt like it now. He managed to take a eep, shaky breath in and out and his eyes returned to being dry once more.

"I hope so too... He may be naughty, but I love him," She said softly, looking in front of her into the darkness of the hay loft. There was two small windows on the sides of the of that let a dim light in, only just enough to see. She turned her head to look back at him again, only to find him fighting his own tears. She furrowed her brown slightly before leaning onto his shoulder lightly. She offered another smile, but she was tired so it didn't come off as so.

"me too.." Sam said. "i havent known him long but i dont want anything to happen to him.." He shook his head slightly, looking at the rays of sun coming in through the indows, and leaninga little closer to Ellie, glad of somebody who was there with him.

She nodded and looked down again, her deep blue eyes slightly disturbed as the bright rays of morning sun started to spray through the windows. "What time is it?" She asked quietly, wondering how long they had been waiting for any results. Surely they would be called down by the vets once they were done, right? She wasn't even worried about the money at this point, they would get that sorted soon enough, she could sell some things and chock some savings up, and she was sure that Sam would help out too. She offered him a worried smile as she felt more weight on her but it was somewhat comforting so she didn't really mind.

its been 30 minutes. Sam said without even looking at his watch. he had been counting the minutes one by one in his head. "but they can take up to four hours, so we'll be waiting longer." he said. The vet was well known or his colic surgurys (cant spell sorry XD) so Ruin should be in good hands.

(Lol, thats fine!) "30 minutes..." She repeated, shaking her head sightly. She didn't want to wait, she wanted Ruin to be better already, she wanted the day to start as normal, but she knew it wouldn't work like that. She hadn't felt like this since her father, only that feeling was much, much worse. She closed her eyes and perched her head on his shoulder, just wanting the time to pass faster.

Sam felt his eyes droop. He hadnt quite realised, in all the excitement, that it was 2 AM. So herelaxed on the hay, feeling all his muscles untense, and kept his eyes closed, hoping and praying that when they opened, Ruin would be OK. After about an hour of shaky waiting, the vet's assistant popped his head into the haybarn. "sory to disturb you, i just wanted to let you know that Ruin is coping with surgery. He'sa fighter. Itt'l be a rocky road ahead, but we think he should make it. give us another hour and a half to getfinished with the surgery." and with that, he popped his head back out and scurried off back to the Vet. Sam's head shot out of its comfy resting place. "Ellie!" he said happily, overjoyed that the little pony was going to make it.

Ellie whimpered a little at the sound of her name being called, but she woke up again slowly, using her hands to keep herself up. "What...?" She questioned slowly, her head perking up. "Is Ruin better?" She questioned, her voice becoming more hopeful. She let her expression becoming a lot more awake.
