Quinn saw Chaos stick his head into the tent and firgured Sage was up, so she got dressed quickly and built another fire. She boiled a cup of water from the river, then had some birds come and cool it down till it was warm, but not too hot. She got some peppermint and out it in the cup, satisfied that she had her special recipe of peppermint tea. She added one more ingredient that was the secret to perfection, then ducked into the tent and gave I think to Sage. "Drink this. It'll help with the bruising and the aching." She walked back out, stretching and yawning

Sage glanced over at at the girl when she handed him the cup of ...something. It smelled pepperminty, but that was pretty much all his still rather groggy brain could pick up on. He sort of patted Chaos and worked at sitting up, groaning slightly and leaning against a tree trunk once he was up before taking the drink and sipping at it. It did warm him up, and it did seem to help soothe some things. "Once this is all gone, will you help me down to the river," he asked. "The cold water will help the soreness to...walking is just gonna be pretty hard still," he sighed lightly.

Her brow creased slightly. "I'm sorry you have to go through all this. Anyway, I hope the river water will help." Quinn said quietly, going out and leaning up against a tree, sighing. It was a slightly windy day, and it felt somewhat refreshing to have the wind blow under her clothes and hair and cool her, though she was kind of cold. Sahara walked over and nickered. "I know, we will go for a run soon, okay girl?" Quinn smiled, petting her horse

Sage shrugged slightly, sipping slowly at the drink she'd given him. "I'm used to it I suppose," he hummed. He watched her interact with the horse while he finished the drink and then crawled out of the tent as best he could. "Once I get into the river you can go for a ride, if she's wanting a run," he hummed. "I'll just lay there for a while. If I get too cold I can get out again." He'd probably get really cold anyway, especially with wet clothes in this weather. But he could move if he started getting too bad.

She snorted. "I'm not just going to leave you laying in a river. It's only 60 degrees! The water is probably cold from last night, and with wet clothes you will freeze. I already arranged a time to run with Sahara, so don't you worry." She helped him slowly down toward the water.

Sage grunted in response to the girl, though couldn't really manage any words since walking those twenty feet took quite a bit of effort. He limped along next to the girl, and practically collapsed in the water with a wheeze, leaning against a rock tiredly. The cold water was shocking and numbing, but the numbness was a welcome feeling.

She frowned when he collapsed, wheezing. "This happens every time?" She asked. "Here, wait a moment." Quinn darted away through the woods, coming back with a ... root? She crumbled it into a cup of water, boiling it for long enough to make sure it wouldn't make him sick then letting it cool off. She gaze it to him. "This is a... let's say something that makes ... okay it's a painkiller root. Also, I'll stir up the fire nice and big so when you get out you'll be warm." Quinn walked to the fire, stirring the embers And putting some more wood on. It soon crackled into a warm Blaze.

Sage hummed and nodded with a sigh. "Unfortunately," he grumbled. "The parts that are werewolf try to morph, and the parts that are human don't enjoy that very much," he explained. "I've stopped paying attention to how it all works....I just know it happens and I have to deal with it every month," he huffed, rather annoyed with it all. He cocked his head slightly but drank whatever she gave to him, and it did help quite a bit. He lay there for a while until he was shivering pretty hard. He crawled out of the water and shook, the painkiller having had allowed him a bit of movement. He curled up by the fire, lips probably blue but not in as much pain.

Quinn went and got the blankets, wrapping them around Sage. She didn't really like to do this, but she sat next to him to warm him up. She was literally like a furnace, no matter how cold it was she RADIATED heat

Sage took the blankets gratefully, and after a moment, he sort of just leaned against the girl gratefully and closed his eyes. Even just crawling out of the pond had seemed to take a lot of energy.
