"I know" She sighed, leaning on him once more

Nate hugged her from behind. Just letting her relax for a bit.

Slowly, the memories receded and Dakota got up. She began to make him breakfast, finishing with a clear mind and straight face. She cleaned up dishes and went to the bedroom once she'd served him breakfast

Nate sighed and sat down to eat. Once finished he did the dishes. He sat down on the couch for a bit, letting her have some time alone.

Dakota curled into a ball on the bed, memories flooding in once more

she was scared, to be honest. She was scared of her mother and the possibilities

Nate got up after a bit and crept into their bedroom. He crawled into bed with her, hugging her from behind. Nate kissed the nape of her neck before just settling down.
