"thanks, but no." Sam said, turning over before he could utter how very grateful he was for her helping her, and falling into a shaken and shadowy sleep, broken with sharp bites of pain. The next moning he woke up feeling considerably better. he brushed his teeth, dressed his wound, wraping it tight with stick-on stitches so it wouldnt hurt as much. he fesheed himself up a bit and heade out to the yard, looking pale and peak but alltogether well. he stroked nero and fed the horse his hay, water and food.

Ellie gave a nod before walking off to go to her own hut and get ready for bed, then setting her alarm so that she was sure to wake up on time. After a while, she fell into a light sleep, but the morning came quicker than she had hoped, and the alarm went off in her head. Ugh. She thought, lazily rolling out of bed and getting ready to get down to the yard. As she walked down, Ellie took a glance at the fields to make sure all the horses were fine, then went off to find some tools to muck out, then went over to to start on the first of the horses.

Sam vaved weakly at Ellie. "thanks for helping me out yesterday," Sad Sam. "it hurts a lot less." He finished doing Nero and walked him slowly to his field. he winced a little as nero jerked his head. crap he thought if this is what its like now, what is it going to be like riding? but he pushed that thought out of his head and continued his round of yard chores

Ellie took a look over at Sam once he had spoken up to her. She had to think for a moment, having completely forgotten about the day before. She paused before speaking, letting her gaze roll up and down him as though to make sure he was still somewhat fine."No problem! I'm just not letting you go for a walk alone. Ever." She teased with a small chuckle, "But are you feeling any better? You couldn't stand yesterday." She noted, her brows starting to furrow.

Sam laughed. "feeling significantly better than yesterday, but still not that great." Sam said, his knuckles turning white as he gripped a nearby post for support."i dont know if ill be able to ride for the next few days.."he said worriedly."im worried about nero's fitness and health if i dont ride him every day." he admitted.

"Good." She noted flatly with a smile, "And I'm sure Nero will be alright for a few days, and you can always lunge if you're that worried, "She said with a slight nod. "But it's better that you rest. Healing uses energy." She added, her voice smooth. She had a rather charming manner when she chose to, but only when she was being sarcastic or lecturing someone. "Or I could pony Nero along with Astra on a short hack once a day, its not much, but it's something."

'good point." Sam said, rubbing his side a little. "well, im not sure how Nero would react to that but it would be nice for you to do it." he said gratefully. He was sure nero would be just fine, he was used t all kinds of activities and together they had even tried horse polo! they both loved trying new things.

"You could always walk with us, but I'm sure that would just be more effort." She said with the smallest of chuckles. Ellie looked at her watch real quick, Aaron would soon be here, which was exiting for her, but she still had a few stables to do so the excitement would have to wait a short while. Ellie looked at where the wound sat on Sams side and shook her head, "Wheres the root you fell on? I'll need to go get rid of that." She stated, almost to herself.

"cant really remember," Sam said, straining his brain to think of where the jutting out root was. "somewhere near the lake." he said. "near a big oak tree." he couldnt really remember anything else about the costly adventure. :whats so exciting?" he asked, seeing the happy look on Ellie's Face. (sorry this is short im in a lesson)

(Totally fine! c:) Ellie perked her head up a little, nodding as she tried to imagine the woods, and if she had seen a bulging root before, but she couldn't seem to find it. "Oh, Aaron should be here soon." She noted swiftly, peering behind him so that she could see the driveway, but there was no one coming. "So who wouldn't be exited, there will be less stalls to clean!" She explained shortly, and that was part of the reason, "Also, he's just a decent human being." She added with a shrug.
