Carl halted Valenciago, dismouted and took the bridle off. "Now racehorses gallop a distance withing a few minutes, and it's over and done with. Now unless that horse's sire is a champion endurance horse... Sorry, i'm a real prick when it comes to being accurate and technical with horses and within the industry, that's why i'm a dressage rider" he chuckled. "No doubt that mare is very talented and has an excellent heart so i cannot fault you there" Carl smiled at Raven, hoping to let her know that he was just picking on her playfully, not seriously. This was one of the ways that Carl showed playfulness, picking on and fact checking people. Although it probably wasn't the best way. Oh god i hope she isn't mad at me for it!

raven looked at him like she was mad but when he looked worried she made a putting face and opened her arms for a hug

Carl embraced the hug and said to Raven "I have something that i have been working on with Valenciago for a while now and i wanted to show you! Could you grab a long straight stick for me?" he said as he went off to get his almost white horse, who was currently taking a big roll in the grass and had stained himself green.

she smiled and got a long stick and went to carl

Carl put Valenciago's bridle on and mounted. "Thank you for that" he said as he took the stick from Raven. "Now you might want to stand back a bit, we're still a bit legs everywhere!" he chuckled and picked up a contact with the eager stallion's mouth. Using a combination of his seat, hands, legs and the stick, he asked Valenciago for a (slightly angled) capriole, which Valenciago willingly gave. "So uhh, yeah! That's what we've been working on! What do you think?" And we all know that he was obviously trying to flex

"Absolutely!" he replied eagerly

Raven got shadow with her bridle and mounted she asked for a passage and went a nice dressage circle

"Excellent! That was a well executed passage volte! Can you ask for a piaffe? I mean obviously we can improve the regularity balance and not much else but that was really nice! I'd say a judge would give that at least an 8 but more likely 8.5 or even a 9! But that is really good!"

Raven then asked for a piaffe Shadow tossed her head and pinned her ears but did it anways
