Can someone please sternly remind me that I've already talked to the vet and that my cat is going to be fine, they are just doing some final tests and I am stressing so badly because I am tired and haven't eaten yet? (Food is in the oven.)
He shrugged. "Alright." He didn't see anything happening, so he lay down against the cave wall and closed his eyes. He was used to falling alseep in odd places, so a cave was comfortable for him and he fell asleep quickly. He slept lightly, so he was confident that if something did happen he would wake up and could deal with it.
Sage woke up as the sun started to rise and got up with a quiet grunt since he was a bit stiff. He added more wood to the fire and sat by it quietly since the girl was still asleep. He subconsciously scanned for danger as he did so
Ellie stretched slightly as she slept. she shifted in the covers softly whining as she yawns. She sat up after awhile and rubbed her eyes, she glanced over at him "good morning"
He looked over at Ellie and grunted. "Morning." He gestured to the rabbit from the night before. "If you want breakfast, the rabbit is warm. I already ate."
"alright" she hopped off the ledge bringing a small blanket with her since it was chilly she wrapped it around her body and sat down near the rabbit and ate some.
Sage leaned against the wall and kept an eye on the cave entrance, since this was one of the times other street folk were out and about. That thoughy brought another thought to mind and he looked at Ellie. "We should make you a staff for self defense at some point today."
He sighed and thought for a moment. "I'm thinking maybe a five foot staff? It'll be long enough for you to stay away from people so you don't have to hurt them much but won't be cumbersome to carry with you." He smiled tightly. "I know you don't want to hurt anyone, but believe me when I say you don't want to be taken advantage of our on the streets. The people who roam the alleys are...less than friendly."
