"allright." Sam said, getting Nero in and grooming him until his coat shone and hismane an tail were silky smooth. he put on his close-contact gear and hopped on. "lets go then?" he asked, making his way slowly towards the gate at the ends of theyard. there were some nice logs on the trail they were riding, and sam hoped he and Nero would be able to jump them.

"Yeah," Ellie murmured after tacking up, her voice light and smooth. She mounted up stiffly before pushing her sweet gelding on with a small squeeze. They rode along it comfortable quietness for a while, until they came across some conveniently fallen logs. Ellie could see the desperation on Sams face, which made her smile. "You can go over them if you want, I'm not going to stop you!" She offered with an inward smile.

"thanks!" samsad qickly, and he and Nero srged forwards to the first log, and soared neatley over it, popping over a couple other logs flawlessley too. Sam waited for Ellie to catch up. "yo have yo really never jumped before?" he asked, curious. life wouls just be boring without jumping sam thought to himself, givin Nero a small nudge to get him going.

Ellie push Astra on a little into a slow lope along the side of the jumps to catch up to Sam, then coming to a sudden halt when she reached him and his horse, "Not once," she shook her head, amused by the fact he just couldn't seem to get over it, "Unless accidentally jumping over poles counts." She added sarcastically with a shrug.

|

|
"uuh, no. i dont think that counts." sam grinned. "you should try it, its the best feeling in the world. you sure you wouldnt just pop the logs on a horse?" he asked, wondering why some people where just so adverse to the idea of flying over an obstacle on a horse. Sam loved jumping, he just couldnt get enough of it.

"I'm pretty sure!" She said with a promising smile, "If I do choose to jump, you'll be the first to know." Ellie teased with a playful wink before pushing Astra on past him, carrying on with rhe hack, "Do you like it here?" She questioned curiously, "This is the only place I've had my horses, so I don't know any difference." She shrugged.

"make sre of it." sam said jokingly."yeah, i love it and hate it. i lived in the UK for most of my life, just moved to the USA 2 years ago, bringing Nero with me." sam said. "i liked it there, i had friends, family and stff, but i love it here to, its very different" Sam reflected. "what about you?" he moved p so they were riding side by side.

"Well, I do, I think...? I don't really spend much time out of the yard, but the little bit of the area I know is quite pretty, so I can deal with that. Like I said, I lived in New Orleans until I was 10... I've lived here ever since." She figured lightly. "I don't travel much so I don't really have anything to compare the area to." Ellie said a little spaced.

|
"really? have you never been outside of the US?" Sam asked. He was a big fan of travel and every year he visited a different place o his bucket list.he had visited LA, hawaii, kenya, india, and spain so far. his adventures abroad were always birthday gifts from family. "i love to travel, though i stay in the yard a lot. but when i find somebody to take cae of my horse, i go."

"Not once." She shrugged, trying to think back to a time when she had left the country. She wasn't sure they had even gone to some of the islands. "You're just that little bit more privileged then, getting birthday trips, huh?" She questioned light heatedly. "I think the only time I've ever traveled was to get here." She shrugged thoughtfully
