I just don't understand what could've caused her to lose the foal, her last ultrasound was perfect, healthy heartbeat, growing normally, we could even determine the sex. She's had no illnesses or colic, no symptoms like discharge or udders filling, and no sign of a miscarriage in her stable or field. Baby was just gone. We're going to do a uterine biopsy come spring time when she's cycling normally again and see if that gives us any idea what might have happened
