I always say no one can understand them unless they've experienced it-- which is completely understandable. It's definitely not "normal" for someone to be afraid to walk to their apartment complex's dumpster in daylight, but it's something I've struggled with (and overcome, yay!) |

| The first thing I did with my first car when I decided to try driving again was back it into a building, and when I was able to cope with having done that w/o spiraling into a meltdown I knew I was definitely ready to try again looool |

| Walker I can't even imagine. The worst accident I've ever been in was when a car t-boned my sister's girlfriend, while they were both up front and I was in the back seat. I smacked my head, but I was completely fine. I can't even imagine dealing with such a traumatic accident, I'm sorry :( |

| Thanks, SF. It happened about 2 years ago. It led me to a fear of public spaces in general, and just the fear of having a panic attack in general, too. Hence, agoraphobia :/ But, I'm getting a little better every day :) |

| Thanks, Snitch <3 Yesterday I sat in my boyfriend's car in the driver's seat, with the car on. Big step and I felt SO nauseous, and when I came inside I almost cried from the relief, but I did it :) |

| ZZ Same. I feel so trapped when I can’t drive. It’s cathartic. And unfortunately for some, I now live in a place where there isn’t any public transportation unless I drive 20 minutes into town |

| Walker I'm really happy to hear that! And that you're okay. My most severe panic attack happened while I was driving on the highway during rush hour when I lived in South Carolina... not fun. None of my friends were able to come get me, and all my family was still here in the Northeast, so I was trapped. Had to call 911 to get me because I had a 50+ minute drive home and I just couldn't do it. |
