That too. Try swapping brands. Although I'm unsure why he'd suddenly be intolerant... I thought he was still on Friskies when you asked me about this last night. Which he was okay with, no?

The wet foods that are in a sauce almost always have wheat gluten in them as a thickener.

There's some evidence legumes are bad for their heart too, like stuff with peas or chickpeas. I try to limit what my cats have of that in their diet, but it's so hard to find pea free food. some of the Wellness dry foods are pea free tho.

Could also boil down to being intolerant of ingredients in the canned food

I don't free feed my cats anymore because every single one I've owned, has eaten until they had awful stomach issues.

Bird,
Mix it. It does it to Sketti, too, when I do purely wet food.
Glacier Bay Cove
05:12:41 Arctic Katz
Sometimes I give my cats meow mix dry cat food. They get one spoonful of wet cat food three times a day and the rest of the day they have dry cat food to snack on, when they get hungry
Versailles
05:12:21 Versa
Although... If you swap purely to dry, *please* check the ingredients thoroughly. Too much rice/soy/whatever fillers when cats are obligate carnivores is horrible for them. Blue Buffalo is a major example.
Hummingbird Meadows
05:12:13 Bird
@Versa, do I just not give him wet food then?
Snitches' Stitches

Wet food is generally good for cats because it usually helps keep them thinner than dry and increases their liquid intake which helps keep thier kidneys healthy
Morning Glory Farms

i fed my very first cat i owned years ago blue buffalo and she got super sick that was right around when they were getting sued for the all the shit with not being truthful about their ingredients and everything plus all the filler and shit thats in it, I will never touch them again

Can you just add water to the dry for extra hydration if the dry is working.
Versailles

Bird,
It's possible he's getting too much hydration altogether. That was a big thing while I was helping to raise some cats.
