The wet foods that are in a sauce almost always have wheat gluten in them as a thickener. |

There's some evidence legumes are bad for their heart too, like stuff with peas or chickpeas. I try to limit what my cats have of that in their diet, but it's so hard to find pea free food. some of the Wellness dry foods are pea free tho. |

I don't free feed my cats anymore because every single one I've owned, has eaten until they had awful stomach issues. |

i free feed my cats kibble and they each get a half can of wet food on my days off, im just extra watchful of my male to make sure he gets enough water so he doesn't get urinary problems |

Sometimes I give my cats meow mix dry cat food. They get one spoonful of wet cat food three times a day and the rest of the day they have dry cat food to snack on, when they get hungry |

Although... If you swap purely to dry, *please* check the ingredients thoroughly. Too much rice/soy/whatever fillers when cats are obligate carnivores is horrible for them. Blue Buffalo is a major example. |

i fed my very first cat i owned years ago blue buffalo and she got super sick that was right around when they were getting sued for the all the shit with not being truthful about their ingredients and everything plus all the filler and shit thats in it, I will never touch them again |
