I love history. I could spend all day where it's rich in history
Nightingales Ridge

Yeah it'd cause problems
Stone Wall Eventing
12:53:41 Stone
Either way, filling it in could really screw up the draining there. Thats the issue here
Nightingales Ridge
12:52:12 𔓘 Issy
Oh wow that's super cool! Kinda neat about the village that was there...I love that sort of thing
Stone Wall Eventing
12:51:28 Stone
Hey. That's a win in my book
Stone Wall Eventing
12:50:43 Stone
Yeah it's insane. Haven't even brushed the surface of it and I've been around it my whole life. I just wish more people would appreciate it you know
Nightingales Ridge
12:50:08 𔓘 Issy
Reminds me; my brother had houses bought up near him and it was going to be developed into multi housing...until they found out that there's a 'stream' running through it and they aren't allowed to fill it in. My brother said it essentially looks like a drain but because it's listed officially as stream now their plan are foiled

I actually took a college course that was specifically for this forest and it was honestly really interesting. Went into local legends, visited ruins of places that once contributed heavily to the economy, an old village that once was thriving with the like maybe 20 people living in it. But once again, it used to contribute to our economy
Nightingales Ridge
12:47:11 𔓘 Issy
Oh wooow I see! Huge. Ugh that is sad.

It's a national reserve consisting of about 1.1 million acres. Its all farms, forests, wetlands. There's still houses and whatnot but not nearly like outside of the reserve like where I am. I'm just on the outskirts of it. But there are developers trying to build and it's so sad
Nightingales Ridge
12:40:46 𔓘 Issy
Oh haha why does your forest mean its kept from being so developed
Stone Wall Eventing
12:36:16 Stone
Issy, I'm so sorry. My brain is barely half functioning right now but why is what?
Stone Wall Eventing
12:35:28 Stone
Apparently more people say sticks now than boonies. At least from what I've gathered. My recruiter told me he hasn't heard boonies in a while
Nightingales Ridge
12:34:39 𔓘 Issy
Oh really? Why is that?
Nightingales Ridge
12:34:13 𔓘 Issy
Boonies yes! Lol
Stone Wall Eventing
12:33:18 Stone
I say sticks, boonies, and boondocks. Thankfully there's still plenty of places in my state that are still fairly undeveloped but we can honestly thank the specific forest we have for that
Nightingales Ridge
12:28:00 𔓘 Issy
We say out in the wop wops
Nightingales Ridge
12:27:34 𔓘 Issy
Lol also I haven't heard the term the sticks in ages!
Nightingales Ridge
12:27:13 𔓘 Issy
Aaww yes development can certainly change things. My small town where I grew has developed massively but becuase I was an out of towny that areas still pretty beautiful. Its backed on to protected native Bush. Now I live in a large town its quite different .-.
Nightingales Ridge
12:25:19 𔓘 Issy
Aw it is too! Lol. And yes I love so many of the artworks on HEE the art team do fabulous work
