@green Cat grass, hmmm. Thank you! |
Skye's Paradise |
I miss having cats. I had built a small gazebo off of my laundry room. Litter boxes were out there too. Lots of shelves...they really loved it. |

I think Sketti just gets annoyed that he struggles to catch them, and therefore doesn't try lol |
Greenheart Stables |
@Gem Cat Grass! We used cat grass as a decoy plant for ours to chew on and its safe for them |
Versailles |
The only thing Sketti has ever hunted was an earwig that fell off my ceiling, on me. I flung it and he went wild. |
Gemstone Stable |
@versa Wow! @eury We only have the floor lying cardboard style. Works! And whenever I get a pet(s) I'll be putting some dough down for enrichment things too. :D |
Versailles |
Sketti just hisses at flies for interrupting his nap, and otherwise ignores lol |
The Old Gods |
I probably have a few hundred dollars wrapped up in cat trees and toys lol. But cats are intelligent and having enrichment is good for em |
Versailles |
I found the Catit "self care" station on Amazon and went for that. So he even has a spot to rub all over. And seven different scratching objects scattered through the house |
The Old Gods |
I have a lot of the pole types, but I also have stuff on the ground they can use |
Gemstone Stable |
@green Any ideas how to keep cats from chewing plants? LMAO New kitty just LOVES to do that. Especially when she has a hairball to hack up. LMAO |
Versailles |
Sketti also has a big number of stuff to scratch. But he loves his post the most |
The Old Gods |
I also have a variety of different 'texture' scratching items they can use |
Greenheart Stables |
Cats can be super smart too, a little harder to train but if you put in the effort you can train to not claw stuff, positive reinforcement and proper clawing toys, I'd rub catnip on any current scraching posts - its what I did with my old cats and it worked |
