Appearance: Long black hair that ends at around his waist, normally done in an elaborate style. His eyes are a deep forest green color, and his skin is a dark tan. He has some scars on his back from various punishments from his time serving various people, as well as a scar on his right cheek from his past lover. He has various tattoos as well (the most noticeable ones are a dragon behind his left ear and a tribal sort of tattoo sleeve on his right arm), along with plenty of piercings (mainly his ears, but he does have a lip ring in the center of his lower lip as well). His build is slim but athletic, and while he's fairly short (about 5’3”) he can hold his own in most things physically. His ears end in the pointed tips of the forest nymphs, courtesy of his mother (his father was human, his mother a nymph from the forest by the island where Sage initially hails from). This nymph nature also gives him almost ethereal features: sharp, and striking, with both a delicate and smooth but powerful and strong movement of his body that is natural to him. As for clothing, he's dressed up like a typical servant - a simple tunic, loose enough to hide the bandages from lashing he may receive and trousers - both of which are meant for hard work. Normally around the castle, he's barefoot. He normally also has other jewelry (mostly earrings at this point, and the lip ring), including a small choker necklace that is all he has left of his heritage and island he hardly remembers any more. This definitely isn't what he'd prefer to be wearing, but his costumes are provided by the king and queen, and sometimes the prince he serves, so that's what is required.
Personality: Sage is pretty cautious/untrusting, and outwardly he shows the traits drilled into him by his captors - he is quiet, and keeps his head down, though when not among superiors he is much more of a loose cannon. He doesn't really fight back any more, since being submissive has normally gotten him better responses than otherwise. After years of forced servitude, he resembles a typical well trained servant, broken and willing to do as asked. Once he's free of those burdens, though, he does have a sense of humor and tends to be sarcastic. He's fairly quick to anger, though over the years he's learned to control his temper well and keep a good poker face and fake a smile. He is extremely loyal, so once someone earns his trust, he becomes quite attached, even to the point of self sacrifice that could be harmful.
Backstory: Sage was sold into slavery by his father when he was quite young. He was glad to rid of the man, since he was always drunk and angry, and some of the scars on his back come from his belt. Things weren't any better in the people he was sold to, however, as his new job wasn't exactly pleasant. Rules are strict, and the work is hard. Not to mention the punishments for messing up are, in his opinion, a little harsher than necessary (and he bears the scars on his back to prove it). He hasn't stepped foot outside the castle since he arrived, as he is heavily monitored and a close eye is kept on him. His past lover was named Casper. He, like the other character of the rp, was a royal guard. However, this relationship turned out to be toxic. Sage had learned to accept his advances and his angry outbursts, and some part of him did love the man. Their relationship ended a few months before the start of this RP when Casper was killed in a battle. This event still leaves sage with mixed feelings, though he knew it was for the better to be free of the man.
Powers/Abilities: Outside of the basic extra good senses, Sage also has the ability to age things magically. However, this ability coupled with the kingdom he comes from causes people to fear the powers he has. As result, he is labelled one of the 'Untouchables' - people who posses what tohers believe to be 'dirty magic' or magic that is evil and should not be used. Using it is outlawed within the kingdom, and Sage has grown up learning to fear and hate this part of himself. His senses allow for a certaine ase, as he can tell when people are comign with enough time to do something quick or move to stay away from them. It also allows him to hunt very well. Coupled with the ability to move through the woods silently and unnoticed (much like a forest animal), he is at ease outdoors. The only downside to his senses though, is that things can be overwhelming easily, and things like dog whistles as well as noisy rooms or bright lights are painful/too overstimulating for him.
