Sage had groaned slightly when he was reminded of his condition, nodding along. "I know," he grumbled. "It's annoying." It obviously was no one's fault that he was like this, except maybe the guy who'd stabbed him, but he was dead. And of course himself - this was the reault of hia own plan, after all. But he'd done what had needed to be done to save his ship and crew. He was satisfied just knowing he'd done that.
He nodded with a relieved huff of air when Isabella mentioned that everything was going alright, and that Jayce was handling things just fine. The mention of the other woman brought a faint smile to his face, and he chuckled softly. "I don't know how you ever say no to her," he noted, tried amusement lacing his tone. He heard footsteps approaching them then, ones he had come to learn as being Adelaide's steps, and he couldn't help but offer her a grin as she moved towards them.
He did wave Isabella goodbye, since he did appreciate her company when he had woken up. She was nice, after all, and they were friendly enough to each other. Adelaide he just....knew better. He'd spent more time with her, after all. He snorted softly in response to her question, though winced slightly when the huff of air made a bolt of pain shoot through his body from the wound. "I'm managing," he noted, faint amusement in his tone again. "But I'll take being more clear minded even if it hurts more," he added. He knew Adelaide would prefer for him to hurt less and be on more medicine, and part of him did too, but deep down he knew having a clear mind was better. He'd rather be prepared in case something happened or someone had a question or.... something.
