I think patterned TB’s on track are really pretty, it just looks unusual to me because I’m so used to bays and chestnuts :,)

Vecc I think there was a patterned one at Prairie Meadows one of the few years I worked there with the QHs but very few and far between. Many more painted QH racers especially with Apollitical Jess and Kiss My Hocks

Hi friends. I was recently thinking of ways that I could do Solaris's straw thread to give more opportunity. I posted two openings this month and I will not allow people to sign up for straws if they have one in their possession already but as someone who does a lot of second embryos it got me thinking about that as well so I would like to know your thoughts. I figure it could help other high ABLB stud owners as well to structure them in the future as well. Please let me know your thoughts!

Poll Question: How should we structure the thread?
Total Votes: 27
One big list posted at once : 14%
Broken into 2 postings 8 hours apart : 14%
Broken into 3 postings 5 hours apart : 415%
Separate section for second embryos : 1763%
Separate section for embryos in general : 14%
Separate section for embryos- still sectioned/posted at mult : 27%
Other (please comment) : 14%

You have cast your vote.

Personally, there's no winning for peeps like myself that are on at all different times depending on work/RL. Lol
If I'm interested in a stud I just try to catch a LC nowadays. I know it ruins a chance at a second embryo from my mare, but I'd rather get a breeding to a stud I like vs. a second or third choice one.
I've honestly always favored the first come first serve way we did it years ago.
With 2nd embryos now in the mix I'd simply start that thread after the first thread fills.

I'm kind of with Skye. If I didn't have work the day you posted his lists, I wouldn't have been able to get to it at all. Since there's no set time, and no good way to get straws to everyone, even broken into first embryo/second embryo status is going to be a little fitful. It's still going to fill so fast that anybody at school or work is just going to miss it. A lot of these people are the ones who miss out repeatedly, too. There's just no good way.
.
Since you can pull 30 a month, assuming everyone actually USES their straws, you could always make an early list specifically for second embryos. Like you post it on the 1st and send them out on the 4th. Separate from the usual 20. Just a list of 10 specifically designated for stragglers or people who have a really good mare reserved but are assigned to second embryo.
