To be honest, any conformation remarks wouldn't be accurate, can you get a picture of her standing square with the camera level? :3 |

Here are two pictures of my guy. This is Koko (Kokopelli) my 16 yearold gelding that I lease and I do eventing and dressage with him. He is 15.1 and has a pony stride. If there is a 3 stride line, he most likely will do it in a comfortable 4 unless really pushed through it, then he'll get a long 3. I should be learning of be breed make up soon, as I will be his getting genetic test back. He has built a bit more muscling since the photos, which are a year old, especially in his neck. The pictures are from a year ago today. I belive he was due to be reshod/trimmed within the two weeks after the pictures were taken. As a hunter/jumper, I can say some things. Not sure what you do with him, but he looks hunter-y. Pros about conformation: Long neck (Niceeee) Looks like he has even legs ( <3 ) Nice muscled chest Strong hind-end (booty) Looks expressive and peppy Cons: Giant withers (Ow!) Short back Head isn't my favorite Needs a LOT of neck work Overall, pretty nice! Keep working him, I bet he'll be great :) |

I'd say that overall his balance is pretty good and the angles of his shoulder and pasterns are close to 45 degrees. I think his hip matches his shoulder, but its in a bit of a shadow which obscures it a little. His back is short, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but its combines with a high wither and I could see saddle fit being a bit of an issue with this horse. There's not a lot of space between those high withers and the beginning of his loins, which you don't want the saddle to sit on. However, if he's only 15.1 he probably doesn't have really tall riders that need an 18" seat or something like that, then it may never become an issue! He appears to have a small forearm compared to this shoulder, which would explain his naturally short stride. But if you are primarily eventing him and not taking him into the hunter ring, then you don't have to worry so much about doing the lines in the true stride. The biggest "problem" that I see with this horse is how base narrow he is! His legs are straight, which will help him not to interfere, but I personally would always ride this horse in boots or wraps to prevent any potential injuries from brushing those legs together. All in all I'd say that he looks like a nice horse who should hold up well to the kind of work you want to do! |

Okay, This is gonna be a LONG one but yeah.  This is my AQHA Mare She is more QH than TB, Although she is tall and lanky like one, She was bred a cow horse, grew up on the moutains for 4 years brought in at 5, training started. she is now 18, and has shoes in the summer to help her front feet, (They are a bit wonky,) She started out as a Trail horse, nobody could really connect with her to do western, english, or anything, she was just a trail horse for 5 years, when i got her i was told she was an AWFUL 4-H horse , and didnt do shit, despite all her training she had with pro trainers, When i got her i intantky saw that her mind was melted and was trained to game awfully. so we begain western, we have come a long way with that, even going to state. Then i begain Jumping/dressage, english riding, We have come a really long way since then, we just jumped a 3ft oxer last night! (Highest we have ever been *-*) , She is a gem and can do anything with the right person to match her personality! She currently works at , Eventing , Horse Gaming(All) , Western Eq and Pleasure, English Hunt Seat and EQ , Ground driving , Trail , Showmanship , In hand trail (Etc etc, theres so much more, i have come a long way with her.) The pictures i show are her in mid-condition, she needs more mucles along her back. other than that hit me with what you got! first off let me say sorry the images arent great for judging confermation this was right after we shaved her and it was fairly late in the day. Info She is an Appendix Mare She's 9 (her birthday is at the end of march) she is 16-16.2 hands she is a Flaxen Chestnut in the left pic u might notice a ugly patch this is because at her old home she had an abcess on her foot that went uncared for and she develope a quarter crack. She has done Western Dressage, she was a lesson horse, and now we compete in show jumping. due to the quarter crack we have only jumped up to 2"6 but the people we had bought her from sent her to one of our trainers and she was jumping her about a meter or higher. |

Pros: feminie face soft nicely sized eyes Well distributed neck Clear thoat Latch ( Not heavy/thick) Strong long legs Shiny coat Cons: Not very heavily muscled Would like to see more wither Shorter back Has a big upper body - This is all from my perspective of regular QH's so i have a bit of a different opinion lol Shes a very pretty girl <3 I definetly think that she mustve done AMAZING in western dressage, maybe even pleasure, She has that sort of build. |

thank you, yeah i'm pretty sure she was a little kids lesson horse before we bought her and we've only had her a couple months not enough time to build up a lot of muscle, i also think she looks a lot more like a fatter/ more muscled thoroughbred (she does have thoroughbred blood hence the appendix) this pic is of one of the first times we jumped her sorry its not great quality :( |

I think this mare is super cute! Overall her balance looks good, her body divides evenly into a front, middle, and back third. In one pic she looks slightly butt high, but she doesn't in the other so I think that's more a matter of posture/photp angle. Her shoulder angle is good, but I can't quite tell if it matches her hip angle bc she is standing a little differently in each pic. Her pasterns are a little steeper than her shoulders, but they aren't extreme. Otherwise her legs are straight from the side. Her hooves look a bit small, but it sounds like she wasn't in the best situation before you got her, so time and farrier work may do the trick there. Particularly in the back, it looks like she's close to having a broken axis between her hoof and her pastern. Of course this could be related to photo angle since we don't have a perfect side view of the hoof. In general I like the look of this mare and think she should do well in her new career! Her jump looks very nice in that pic as well, knees are up and even and her expression is keen! |
