A strong one will still be able to go up at least one on week 3/6/9. One training shouldn't hurt things too much.

Training won't be as accurate, unfortunately.
Munchkin Stables

Shouldn't make that big a difference, since you won't see a change until at least wk 3, more likely wk 4

How big of a deal is it to have an SD horse accidentally train AD their first week?

@Cloud, I noticed that most of your AD geldings are a mix of WEP. Do you like those ratings?

@cloud, thanks for the advice too!

I would say on the second one that it's the equivalent of having even bars across since it's down one and up one in traits. So it will probably need another week.

I've also found that some stats count for more than others, so having a good Int in dressage is more important than having a bad Str

Your second gelding averages out to equal bars (+1 in Int, -1 in Str), so he's still ready

Bird, that's because his bars equal his training level. I would call this the bare minimum for entering. I'd expect this one to come in 6th to 8th. When they have more bars than training level, they do well

Well she’s gone. At least she’s no long suffering.

Or this horse has 8 bars in two traits, but not one so is he ready?

I think what's confusing me is horses like this have 8 bars, but will still do poorly in a show.

I do the same thing, My boi's halter doesn't sit right if I forget to trim it xD Good for you, if she wasn't free, then the old owner has no business implying she wants to have a lock of her mane lol. AND since that gal owned her before you, why didn't she cut a piece then?

Kern, I'm scared for that person xD
I work for my mother at a pumpkin patch where she has pony rides and a petting zoo. The people who own it let her rent out a space or smth. Anyways,sSome lady asked me how old one of our ponies, Poncho, is. This is how it went.
Lady: How old is he?
Me: He's 18 :)
Lady: 18 Months??
Me: No, years.
Lady: Oh my gosh he's old!
Also this.
Several times this has happened, but parents will pet our mini x shetland crosses talking to their kids and it goes something like this:
Parent: awww, see how small it is? it's just a baby<3<3<3 Isn't it cute?
Me: Uh...actually, Tonka and Dotty(the mini shettys) are both about 25 years old...
Parent: Ohhhh woww....... and how long do they usually live?
Me: Ummm about 30-35 years :)

I had a friend once who I met in a horse game who thought that horses only had one teat- unitit- as the reason they usually abandon one of the foals if they do have two surviving twins.
I told this to my brother last night and he thought that horses couldn't have (I'm assuming physically couldn't create another) more than one. 🤦‍♀️

I was talking to this girl and she mentioned that she rides horses after I had said in a joking way "the only reason my arms aren't spaghetti is because my horses with their saddles as hay bales" she said oh I ride horses too." I said "what do you do" "ehm... I barrel race" I said "cool I do that too" she said "my mom actually just bought me a horse, it's a midnight blue stallion, she is so sweet" I'm over here like okkkk... now are you a liar or does your "stallion" go by she/her pronouns? (Didn't actually say that but that's what I thought immediately) (also no disrespect to people who go by different pronouns, I just meant that since she was obviously lying)

Oh!
I also had a middle school friend who had said she owned a 22.8 hh purebred Friesian mare that was appy by some genetic mutation, and also somehow a stallion "broke into the stables opened her stall and bred her" a week later she had a Tobi Percheron baby, and she couldn't get a picture since the mare would jump her 8ft fence and run away and somehow the Percheron baby followed. She knew her breeds vaguely at least lol although she pronounced Frisian as Freezin
(her reasoning for the mare running away was because she was afraid of the clicking sound of the camera

These are hilarious 😂

I had a kid in my class when I was little say that they had ponies and competed in polo. I knew there was something sketchy because this kid was from the middle of nowhere country, polo is very expensive, and the only barns in the area were reining barns. I asked this kid if their horses are Bella Sarah ponies (A type of trading card) and if they compete in dismounting in style (Funny term for falling off of a horse) and the kid said yes. 😂
I almost died laughing and the kid looked at me confused 😆
