I'm not good with judging quality of offspring, but that's a thing you can do. How is his training?

This is the XLB mare I have on my side. At her best, she was #19 XLB. She's now #40 because I haven't tried when breeding in a while

Agreed, weakness creates weakness and its very difficult to breed it out of lines

I've found that weak parents lead to weak foals regardless of rating. Case in point, my X side account which has many WWWs (and actually some XLB mares) because I got a daughter of the #1 X stud during his freshie year when his fee was cheaper. Compared to this account where I just got my first WWW in something like 30 game years and it's because I used the #1 AA stud. I need to get a brood and a TB straw on the high LB to get better foals into my TB lines

I have not been able to crack the code to breeding decently strong EEE's. Despite having hundreds of them. Doesnt seem to matter if i breed EEExEEE or EEExWWW

I have some studs that seem a bit meh, I have been thinking about just using them with decent EEEs and cull the bad training foals

Here, I will post daily (hopefully) updates on my horses, HMH Reality Check, Eddie and Chance. I also occasionally ride my neighbors horses so I'll put that on here too. Please feel free to post suggestions, tips, exercises you love, ect. I love the feedback.

Checkers is a 19 yr old, 14.1, Fleabitten Grey, Arab Gelding. I've owned him for 6 years. He is a very quirky, opinionated horse, we get along great. He is Dressage only, but there was a few years where we made him jump because we thought he was just being stubborn, but then we found out he never liked jumping and had, had an accident (I still feel bad about it).

Eddie is a 14-16 yr old, 10.2, Flaxen Chestnut, unregistered Shetland Pony, Gelding. He used to be my sisters pony untill she grew out of him, now I ground drive him, inhand jump him and am trying to teach him tricks. He is the most food driven horse on the planet, lol.

Chance is a 8 yr old, 15.2, Dun, Quarter Horse Gelding. My mom and sister ride him more than me but I will post when I do. Chance is a very quiet horse. He's game for anything and always gives 110%. He can get a bit anxious if he doesn't understand. We are in the process of turning him into an Eventer. Will try to get more pics.

Checkers: Today, it was slightly chilly so I just rode light flatwork, did some lateral movements and shopping/bending exercises. Checkers was immediately soft and moved off my leg super easy. He is coming of winter play time very nicely (All winter I ride him in his own with a neckrope, halter or nothing, then come spring we are back in full dressage mode).
Eddie: I didn't do much with Sir Edward today. Gave him an unneeded treat, lol, and took out his Mohawk from the rubber bands that were teaching it to stand. His Mohawk is adorable, will try to get pics.
Chance: My mom and sister rode Chance double today. He was very good.

Checkers: I rode Check today. He was very quiet, we worked on Flying Changes and Relaxation, along with the usual Side Pass, Half Pass, Leg Yield, Turn On Forehand and Haunches, Shoulder In, Haunches In, and Counter Canter. He listened to my cues and was super good. I let him play and race a bit at the end to get the tickle out of his toes.
Eddie: I wanted to work Eddie today, but ran out of time. Going to try again on Wednesday (supposed to snow). I really want to clicker trai him.
Chance: My mom and sister rode Chance again, he was wonderful as usual.

Checkers: I ride Checkers in my Western tack today. It was pretty cold so we just messed around.
Eddie: I worked on a few simple tricks with Eddie and worked a bit on his Mohawk.
Chance: My mom and sister lightly worked Chance
