I'm not good with judging quality of offspring, but that's a thing you can do. How is his training?

This is the XLB mare I have on my side. At her best, she was #19 XLB. She's now #40 because I haven't tried when breeding in a while

Agreed, weakness creates weakness and its very difficult to breed it out of lines

I've found that weak parents lead to weak foals regardless of rating. Case in point, my X side account which has many WWWs (and actually some XLB mares) because I got a daughter of the #1 X stud during his freshie year when his fee was cheaper. Compared to this account where I just got my first WWW in something like 30 game years and it's because I used the #1 AA stud. I need to get a brood and a TB straw on the high LB to get better foals into my TB lines
Skyward Stud

My first EEE trained almost decently I think, and she was PPPxEEE. Definitely some RF there though

I have not been able to crack the code to breeding decently strong EEE's. Despite having hundreds of them. Doesnt seem to matter if i breed EEExEEE or EEExWWW

01:33:18
I have some studs that seem a bit meh, I have been thinking about just using them with decent EEEs and cull the bad training foals

Yup , but he's not a good one, I wouldn't breed him to any of my good stock

I am creating this forum in loving memory of Skye, who although was not my own, I have known since February 2019 and she was my favourite. She was a 14 year old black Percheron thoroughbred cross, 16.3 hh, who suffered from a hock injury. She was confined to her stall for 6-7 months in the hopes of healing, but when it looked as if t wouldn’t, she was let out into the field with the other 5 horses. She got to run, roll and eat grass for that last month or so of September and October. My favourite of her funny habits is that if she wanted to be scratched (which she always did) and you weren’t paying attention, she would stretch her neck out over the stall door and nudge you with her lip. She would even follow you around the field and nudge you in the same manner if your back was turned. She was a great horse, may her name live on in glory.

Before she was injured, her best friend was Gracie, the fleabitten grey. When she was let out, she was always with Bo, the chestnut. Gracie herded her away from the other herd (two horses) and made sure she stayed with her group (4 horses). Bo would constantly be with her, and one was usually following the other.
