Dear god ive done it again Ive been working with a new horse and the owner and me are now thinking of me buying the horse. She would stay at the current yard as i have lessons there anyway and work there. I was wondering what you guys think of the price? R5000/$308/£267 a month for 4 large paddocks and shelter Large jumping arena Stunning trails Farrier and Feed is sorted Deworming and vaccines are done for you Horse recieves grooming and attention if you are not there Large tackroom where you can keep all your things Riders lounge Option to lower price if horse can be used in lessons (Price changes to R4000/$247/£213) Thoughts?

That would cost me minimum 1.5k a month here so I can't even tell you how fast I'd jump on it.

Boarding at a decent facility near me with included feed and farrier is $700USD. For all that you are getting, that seems like an excellent deal! Edited at August 14, 2026 02:08 PM by Vellum

The nearest full care stable with decent facilities near me is $1000 before even factoring in lessons. Your deal sounds really good! Edited at August 14, 2026 03:20 PM by Cadence Farms

Wow that sounds amazing! That would be thousands where I live. Even just board for a full lease is around $1,600 and that doesn't include anything. Can I live there haha?!

Yeah, that's a total steal around here too! Its around $300 for a self-care stable, probably closer to 1k for a facility where they're fed/watered/mucked. Turn out, grooming, and vaccines not included. Good luck with her!
