Dark brown tack always looks very smart on black/grey in my opinion. Stops a black coat looking washed out!

Oooh I love that pattern Lo!!

Win what do you mean sizes? You can create palettes in the Manage Palettes section under Stable Activities. Its easier to pick one of the default ones, save it with another name and then modify that coding than trying to write one from scratch

Awww! I have a mini stud and then we've got these two mares. He goes a little nutty when we ride. A jealous little monkey he is.

Nala is a really pretty mare. I have a barrel project that's almost finished and is a little crazy. She is a 5 year old AQHA red dun mare. Born and bred in our place. I started her in September and have had her around the barrels the whole time, sort of using the pattern to teach her to turn sharp, slow down, speed up, and stop in some places. She has recently figured out that this is her job, so when we go out to practice the pattern, she wants to run to where we start. She has no chill whatsoever if she takes too many days off and gets her grain the whole time.

Despite the obvious hyper craziness and a little head flicking that she does when I try to hold her back, she can do pretty well on trails. She will walk through water halfway up her chest without issue. She crosses bridges, pushed cows, runs flags pretty well, and never has to be asked to go faster on a pattern. It's all in how much patience you have.

That's too bad that she regressed in training. Everyone gets frustrated though sometimes, don't blame yourself. Maybe you should take her for a hack this weekend to let her (and yourself) get a bit of a break but you can still keep her fit and thinking.

We have determined it may be the bit! Sue never done this in an O-Ring snaffle so I will be ordering one when I get paid. She is trying to buck now. Thank god I have a good grip! We were using a stop and turn with soft hands as that was all I had but I will be ordering one. So until then she is on break as I cant ride her in that bit because she loses her mind.

Have you tried a hackamore? Some horses that are restless (even head-strong) with a bit will clam down and listen with one... Might want to research about it.

Please note, I have no actual experience working with horses, I admire them from afar and read all I can about them. I hope to one day work with those majestic creatures. :)

So, we had to sell these two. Bridgett was so gaited we couldn't ride her and even with a hack and different saddle Nala got worst. We now have two others and I will link when I get their forum up here. I'm having phone troubles so have no pictures right now.
