So on 6/11 my town was hit by a EF2 tornado, causing massive damage to homes and the neighborhood. My husband and I have been through a whirlwind of emotions, with our private utility pole snapping and potentially being out 3k to our basement completely flooding and causing almost 40k worth of damages, ripping out the drywall and carpet, discovering black mold on the house support beams and behind the trim and drywall. And ultimately insurance refusing to cover any of the damages from the storm.

In less than 30min, my home turned from a 4 bed 3 bath to a 2bed 3 bath infested with mold and stress and out 40k. On top of all of that I have the most ignorant, unempathetic, slow to respond desk adjuster who would rather text us two to three words than answer our calls.

And! It's been 8 days without internet, 7 days without electricity (f* cold showers).

(end rant)

That's terrible! I hope your home insurance will cover it all. I feel your pain. In 2009 we had a 100 year flood, and my bottom floor was flooded. Luckily the damage was minimal but I had to replace the air conditioner, furnace, and have black mold treated. It sucked.

Just know that it will get better and you'll get past this. Weather events are no joke and it always seems to happen elsewhere until it happens to you.

Hang in there!

I can only imagine how much water you had, I didn't even know what a 100 year flood was until I looked it up.
Also, I appreciate the kind words and encourgement ❤️
