The problem with the hair is that it doesn't have an order and it's not dense enough. I can see through the tail and the mane the background. That shouldn't happen. The first base layer of the hair should be the darkest colour you are using and the biggest brush. Then, as you go adding layers, use lighter colours. The lighter the colour, the smaller the brush. That way you can also add lights and darks to the hair. You need to draw a lot more hair strands. On your piece I only see like a strand here and there and that's it. Well, you have to make a lot of strands more, otherwise the hair will never gain volume. Edited at May 17, 2020 05:21 AM by Shivering Sea

I LOVE the lighting work with this! Awesome job!~ The only issue I have with this beautiful piece is the lack of normalcy when it comes to the hair. The tail and mane suggest that the horse is running fairly fast. The forelock, however, is a little off. The forelock should show as much movement as the rest of the hair. Also, don't be afraid to add more flyaway strands! ;) Great job overall! I love this piece!

I like that very much. Extremely clean and simple yet beautiful. Everything flows very nicely. My recommendation would be to draw an iris and a reflection in the eyes to make them pop a little more <3
