Thoughts? Fairly happy with it overall with it just being a practice piece. But I have a tendency to miss little details, so help with that would be lovely. If anyone could shoot me a pricing estimate that'd be cool too. :) Thanks in advance!

This is very nice! I love the eyes and the mane. I would recommend taking a look at lighting. It's pretty clear from your background that your horse is standing in a shadow. The issue is that you can't tell from looking at your horse that your horse is standing in a shadow. <3

The hair and prep that you've done is great purple, but as gen as said I'd focus on lighting Since the lighting is behind/ahove the horse, the horse would have lighting around the rim and some of its back. There would also be shadows where the light doesn't hit the horse

Ladybird Estate said: Yellowtail Ranch said: Would anybody be interested in horse edits like these? I am not currently able to change original markings or hair color, but can add brands and change the body color to something realistic. What should I price my work if I even decide to sell and does anybody have any tips or anything on changing hair and markings? Thanks!
For solid color:Grey scale the whole horse them lasso the markings and make them the same shade as the body, then play with lightness hue and saturation to get the wanted color. For markings:do the above step up to making the whole greyscale the same shade, then lasso the shape of the markings, and make them white Hair:greyscale it but you may also want to mess with contrast after you've changed hue saturation and lightness
Thankyou Ladybird! <3

Looking at the face, lighting. The face should be quite a bit darker because your light source is behind the horse. (I hate rhyming even though I seem to do it all the time...ing)Also, don't forget to give the horse a tail!!!

Oh, Gem. The tail is there, it just blends into the background. (Left edge, horse is swishing her tail)

Ah, I see it now. Try adding some more shades to it using slightly darker colors to make it more visible :)
